Thanks for starting the thread, and good luck this month!

We are away and I don't have a scale, so who knows until July 5.
We are at a bluegrass festival in Morganton, NC. Yay!

Goal- Anything under 120. Maintain under 120 lbs. On 6/30, 118 lbs on lower scale which is 1 lb lower than my other scale

7/2 119.5 lbs on the scale at Planet Fitness with my clothes on, shoes off. The food in NC is really good. I've been eating stuff I never do, bread and fried potato wedges two days in a row.
7/3 121 lbs ?? Not morning, hope that's why, scale at Planet Fitness
7/4 who knows?!?
7/5 118.4 lbs on my lower scale
7/6 117.8 lbs (LS)
7/7 118.7 lbs (LS)
7/8 118.7 lbs (LS)

I have been weighing only intermittently as I am depressed about my forced no-exercise regime. Exercise is my favorite form of stress relief, and not being able to exercise only piles on the stress. So ~sigh~ I am eating + drinking too much instead. Thus:

7/6: 134.2

Alexis - thank you, and congrats on your continuing downward spiral!

Jen - looks like you're enjoying yourself AND losing weight - a winning combination!

Seven - I'm so sorry about your injury. Is there any other kind of exercise that you can do that will help relieve stress?

7/6: 134.2
7/7: 134.4 hmmm, wrong direction

HW, because my back is involved, any exercise has felt like a risk. Yesterday I did go for a brisk walk (~4.5 miles) and did some planks and back-strengthening exercises. I can feel a little tightening in my back but it doesn't hurt. I'm planning on walking again today, probably a slower pace.

Oh, gosh, please be careful. I guess I was thinking that there are all kinds of exercises for people in various situations, things that are designed especially to protect them from harm. If it's your back, though, that seems like it would have to do with a lot of body systems.

Not to be nosy, but do you like yoga? I have a DVD that has special exercises for people with back issues. It's by a lady named Peggy Cappy. Maybe something like that could also help with stress relief.

HW, I'm not much for yoga. I usually spend most of the session thinking about all the other things I could/should be doing. I'm not very zen. My back seems to be about 99% better. Yesterday I did a bunch of housework and I could feel the tender spot now and then -- while lifting a laundry basket for example -- but it did not get worse. I will keep up the walking for another week or so, and if it resolves completely I may go back to barre or try a little run/walk combo.
