I loved your post Hoopty, I could feel the excitement!! How was your first day back at the gym?

Yes, it is good to let "bad" days go by, and start afresh, Lovestotravel!

I had an okay day, must do better if I want to see that 139 by Friday. I fasted all day but then ate too much junk at night. I think I was bored.

I need to do a two hour training session for my volunteer position and I have kept putting it off So now I have to do it at the last minute, ugh. Procrastination is an art

I had an amazing workout at the gym today! First, I ran 5.24 kilometers in 30min (HIIT), then I did leg exercises and because I had a few minutes left, I added a chest exercise. Lastly, I stretched for about 10min. My legs feel like jello now I drank a whole bunch but I am peeing so we'll see what the scale is gonna give me tomorrow morning.
TOM got here today and I had a pretty rough afternoon due to me being hungry and hormonal but it all went away once I ate, how typical

I hope you guys had a great day!

Back on track today and feeling good. Today's morning weigh-in was 135.2 so apparently I didn't do any significant damage this past week. It's amazing how forgiving the body can be sometimes. Yesterday I ate well, exercised, and got caught up on some sorely needed sleep. Work has slowed down at the office so I'm taking the rest of this week off to putter around at home.

I'm still hoping to resume my weight loss this month and ramp up my workouts in preparation for the hiking trip. I leave for Switzerland in less than 6 weeks. Where does the time go???

LovesToTravel - Switzerland? I'll say hi from Germany! How long are you staying there for? It's absolutely beautiful there!

The scale jumped due to muscle water retention (and probably TOM). I've been super sore these past 2 days but it's a great feeling. Today, I took a 45min spinning class and did a few exercises for my arms.
I'm gonna be patient about my weight..I have to. I couldn't help but to freak out a little this morning but I know that I'll be fine if I continue to do what I've been doing. Tomorrow is gonna be our date day though which means we'll be eating a lot of unhealthy food like croissants and french toast for breakfast, Ben & Jerry's PB cup (one of my favorites, I finally got my hands on it here in Germany, woohoo!!), and I'm also making a carrot cake. That's why I kept my calories a little lower today despite me working out at the gym.

It's still quiet around here. Guys, stop lurking and say Hi!

Have a great weekend!

Hoopty, I will wave to you from across the border. I visited Munich for a few days last September and very much enjoyed it! I'll be in the Bernese Oberland region for 8 days, then 1 day in Zurich before returning home. I've actually been there twice already, but I can't seem to get enough of the Alps.

Mmmm...Ben & Jerry's.. It's been a long time since I've had ice cream, that sounds wonderful. The scale often jumps after hard workouts for me too, no worries. Keep at it!

I got my wish and saw 134 on the scale this morning like magic. I have no idea how that happened after such a rough week. I've got a hard workout scheduled for tonight so I probably won't see that number on the scale again tomorrow, but my official Friday afternoon weigh-in put me at 136 (2 pounds down from last week, holy cow) so I'm happy.

I am up two pounds, then I am down two pounds, up two... Something always seem to happen; dinners out, off plan days etc. At this rate I will never get to goal

So I am formulating a plan. Last time I lost weight, I allowed myself to have one "free" day. I think I will go back to that....and the rest of the week I would follow 5:2 IF plan, where I fast two days and eat normal 4 and splurge one day. Now, the splurge days would not mean 5000 calories , maybe a candy bar or a meal out, around 2000-2200 calories.

Hoping to stay on this plan for the next 9-12 weeks and see where it takes me.

Hello girls,

LovesToTravel - I love the alps too, it's so beautiful in the southern parts of Germany! I actually live very far north, about 1 hour from the North Sea Did your number go up like you expected it to? I hope not! Working out intensely is always great but weighing-in the next days is such a pain... What kinds of workouts do you do?

Sum38 - Your plan sounds good and if that's how it got you to where you are right now then hey, do it again!

----

I ended up not buying the Ben&Jerry's ice cream because I was too full from the carrot cake. I told myself that I definitely didn't need to buy it. I was full, I was satisfied and I had way too many calories already so why stuff myself with ice cream just because I allowed myself to? I was actually very proud of myself for not getting it anyways because that's something I would've done months ago. To my surprise, towards the end of the night, I started to crave healthy fresh foods. So after DH and I got back from the gym I made myself a huge salad. My body craving salad? After the gym on a "CHEAT" day? I was pleasantly surprised
My weight has dropped to 140.6 lbs this morning. I had another intense run on the treadmill today but my left knee hurts a little so I am taking a break from the gym tomorrow.

I am modifying the plan, I am actually going to do 3 fast days, 3 normal days and 1 splurge day -- Keep telling myself that "on Saturday I can have chocolate, Thai food, sushi..." what ever cravings I am having at the moment

Tomorrow will be my 2nd fast day for the week. I am actually looking forward to it (hah), because it always brings a nice whoosh.

Today I consumed 1360 calories, I also exercised quite a bit; 4.7 mile pup walk; 4.7 mile speedy treadmill walk and 45 minutes of weight lifting (hate it).

So where are all the Feathers... we sure are a quiet group.

130.6 this morning.

I am almost back down to my May goal weight of 130. (I reached it last week but then I bounced back up.) I am hoping to get to 129 by the end of the week so I will be able to say I have 9 pounds to go.

My IF/JUDDD schedule has gotten really weird. These past two months I usually go:

Sunday: High protein/high calorie day
Monday: Medium calorie day
Tuesday: Low calorie (fast) day
Wednesday: Low calorie day (but more than Tuesday)
Thursday: High protein/high calorie day
Friday: Medium calorie day
Saturday: Low calorie (fast) day

In just a few weeks, when school gets out and all my classes are done for the summer, my weight training program starts whether my weight is at goal or not. I will be close enough. I am getting excited to be switching from weight loss goals to fitness goals.

That sounds like a good plan.

My Up/Down Days plan is
Sunday: Down Day 500-600 cals
Monday: Up Day 1000-1400 cals
Tuesday: Down Day 500-600 cals
Wednesday: Up Day 1000-1400 cals
Thursday: Down day 500-600 cals
Friday: High Up day 1500-1800 cals
Saturday: Splurge Day up to 2500 calories

How many calories do you consume Shrinking? Sounds really exciting to be moving into next phase on your healthy lifestyle. Rooting for you on your 129! That is VERY exciting.

Hi ladies! I am not sure if I'm a "feather" per se, but I can't really find my home on 3FC anymore. Way back when I was in the 100lb club because that was my goal and now after maintaining 65lbs lost for 3 years, I don't really relate to a lot of that anymore. I remember it and like to see if I can help. But it's not my battle anymore. I'm back and ready to finish this last 30lbs.

I'm a size 10/12 and want to be a 4/6. I'm short and small framed, so once I lose another 10lbs, I'll feel more like I belong here. Maybe you'll let me stay on credit? lol

I'm turning 35 in a few weeks (yikes!) and my body doesn't respond to exercise like it used to. I am in shape and feel great while I'm running but once I'm done my knees and hips tighten up and I'm sidelined for days. I LOVE running and want to be able to. I have been thinking about doing the C25K workouts to force me to take it slow. Just a two years ago I could run a 5k on my lunch break and feel fine. Now, I think if I ease into it and give my ligaments a chance to get stronger (not just the cardio system), maybe I can do it again? Maybe losing this last 30lbs is what I need to feel better, too?

BeachBreeze2010 Welcome!! So nice to have you here!!! And congrats on your amazing weight loss.

You belong here! These last few decades can be so difficult to do/lose and we can use all the support we can get. I have about 20 pounds to lose. I want to be 4 as well. I am size 8 right now. I do have a few 6's that I can fit into, but I think they are large cuts. I just left 10's behind.

Hi Feathers!

Figured I'd pop in here to say "hello" and introduce myself. I'm in the process of trying to get off the baby weight. I probably weigh about 122 lbs right now, maybe a bit more as I've been on a "last supper" type binge. We've got a vacation at the end of this month. Then I plan to start Whole30 for June, so I've been kinda throwing caution to the wind and eating what I want. It doesn't affect the scale too much for me (I am maybe 75% compliant with my diet), but it does a little bit.

I follow a mostly primal diet, although I do allow safe starches, so I'd say it's more a Perfect Health Diet.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all.

Thank you! I can't wait!

My calories are very similar to yours. 400-500 calories on DownDays, 800-1000 calories on Medium Days, 1400 calories on UpDays, but no splurge days.

The rotations/calories will be completely different when I start lifting weights. A lot more protein, quite a few more calories. And more veggies & legumes than before, too, because I will be able to increase my carb intake a bit! Yay!
