Hello everyone!

Still here, still lurking around but had no time to actually post. I had a pretty rough week...4 binges, 2 healthy days, 1 okay day.
Today was my first day back to being 100% healthy. I had a good workout at the gym and my main focus this week is to get rid of the weight I put on due to the gazillion calories I had. I weighed-in at 145.2 lbs yesterday, was down a pound this morning at 144.2 lbs.

Will catch up with personals soon!

What gives with all this 144.2 bull? I'm about to throw a temper tantrum! I can't even work out right now, my neck and back hurt so bad I'm lucky I can finally hold my head up straight.

LDL, instead of thinking about it as "being stuck," think about it as "practice maintenance." Not gaining is great, especially if you can do it during a period of stress! Sometimes even when we are on plan, the scale can stick or even go up. But if we can keep going, adjusting if necessary, we will win in the long run! (ETA: You just posted at nearly the same time. Sorry to hear your neck is bothering you so much; it must be adding to your frustration!)

Hoopty, sorry you are having a tough week. Trying to lose weight at the same time is even tougher. If you can get back on track, this will all be water under the bridge. Looks like you are on the way, and I'm happy to see the scale back off a pound for you.

I had a fairly normal day yesterday, and for some unaccountable reason, the scale was down to 140.0. I was expecting 141.0 at best, so what do I know?

yoyoma - Aaahhh, you're right there! The 130s are screaming your name!

I weighed-in at 142.4 lbs this morning when I was hoping to be somewhere around 143.x lbs since I was at 144.2 lbs yesterday. I hope the scale will continue to drop

Ahhh, my body is in full "rebel" mode. The harder I try the more it resists. Weighed in at 149 today. Very upsetting as I have been upping my workouts and doing the 5:2 diet. Hopefully this is some serious bloat! I feel very puffy and fat today :-( on a positive note I've hit the gym really hard the last two days, today is the first day I have run continually on the treadmill for 30 minutes straight. I usually have to walk some, run some but I kept up the run the whole time and didn't slow down or walk once. Usually I hit the elliptical or stair master and can go really hard on those but running has always been harder to keep up (and my knees and hips give me trouble). Now I am confident I can actually "run" in a 5k.

Sassy, don't beat yourself up! Those extra pounds are probably just the tougher workouts talking. I've never been able to run 5K... I used to jog in college and 2 miles is the furthest I got.

Hoopty, nice drop, congrats! I am *so* looking forward to getting down to 139.

Today I nudged a little closer to 139.6! I know I don't go straight down, and I'm expected to pop back up over the course of the next week so I'm trying to remain patient.

Hello guys,

I was hoping to see 141.x lbs this morning but the scale showed 142.0 lbs. I think that's the weight I'm working with, now that all the bloat from bingeing is gone. We'll see, hopefully the downward trend continues, that's what matters.
I am so over the 140s. I think that's my body's favorite decade. I've been in the 140s most of my life except for when I actually made it down to 123 lbs in September of 2011 I want to be back in the 120s for good. But - one step at a time. First, no more 140s!!

The scale says 143 today. I really need to see 130 something on my scale soon. I was a good ten pounds lighter last summer, none of my clothes are going to fit me well at this point. I have to get back in the 130's I can't afford to buy clothes in a larger size at this point.

My preview of the 130's didn't last long. On Tuesday I went to the Korean market and bought a bunch of veggies I like (marinated daikon, seaweed salad, etc). I'm going to blame the salt from eating those the past couple days for an impressive rise on the scale: up to 141.8 this morning! However, it's not really bothering me, since I really do think it's just the salt talking.

The sad thing is, I am having dinner out tonight: at a sushi restuarant! Well, maybe I won't get as large a bump up as usual afterwards. I also have plans to eat out this weekend, so I'm probably not going to see my low territory again anytime soon.

yoyoma - I think it's water retention, too...don't worry, it'll be gone soon!

lovedancelive - Seems like you beat 144.2lbs!

valid28 - Stay focused and committed and you'll get down to where you wanna be! Good luck!

--

I'm having huge cravings today. Luckily, it's a holiday today so all the grocery stores are closed and I wouldn't be able to buy any type of junk food if I wanted to. DH was craving junk food too and he actually ordered food from a turkish place but I said no
To satisfy my cravings a little I mixed some plain oatmeal with 2 teaspoons of brown sugar - and it actually helped! Now I'm eating a whole bunch of cauliflower with mixed spices, not only because it's delicious but also because it fills me up and I think that will help a lot too.
I weighed-in at 140.4 lbs this morning. Fingers crossed!
