I lost weight at 1200-1400 with working out, but only at first, when I had a lot to lose. As I got closer to goal, I needed to up it to 1400-1600. Then 1600-1800! Itis kind of scary, b/c it feels as if you are doing exactly the opposite of what you are "supposed" to do. I don't tend to overeat, b/c I now know what actual hunger is, and when I am hungry, I eat. However, my foods are super healthy, so I know that whenever I am eating, if is almost always something nutritious and not calorie-dense. If you want toned muscles, which I assume you do as a dancer, it is critical to feed your body right!
