Glad you felt well enough to exercise and good for you for distracting yourself. I've heard that most cravings only last for 30 minutes, so I think to myself "Just give it 30 mins" and reassess then... Most of the time, I forget what I wanted before the 30 mins are up.

I just started back in on exercising last Tue after getting sick at the beginning of Feb. I forgot how good it felt to work up a sweat! While I love the mental benefits of working out, it's interesting to note that exercising doesn't have that big of an impact on actual weight loss. I've also heard people "Lose weight in the kitchen, get fit in the gym." So that makes me feel less bad about taking that break from exercise...

Stay strong through the weekend!!!

Well, I've been totally good, and guess what, I gained a lb. Of course, I attribute that to not exercising. I've noticed, for me, when I don't exercise, I don't lose as well. It's probably because I eat the same amount of cals, as I do when I exercise. LOL

It's better wnen I stay off the scale. Sometimes things like this derail me, and I don't need that! I feel better and my pants fit a little better, so that should be good enough.

Have a great weekend! (23 days straight of eating within my range.)

Last night was a tough one for me. I don't know why, but I was antsy and actually thought of going over my cals. I'm not sure what was going on in that head of mine. There was a little battle of the wills. I actually prayed to get me through the night. Well, I'm happy to say that today is 25 days that Ive been in my calorie range, and feel so much better for staying strong. I think getting on that scale on Friday threw me off. I have to stay off that scale!

WooHoo Tyla!!!
What a victory!!!
(And I totally hear you in the staying off the scale.)

I've been having a rough couple of days, too. Been engaging in some not so healthy food behaviors and I know that getting on the scale is an indicator that my priorities aren't straight.

I'm just trying to remember to BREATHE first and try to confront my feelings before I turn to food...

Hang in there and keep on!!!

Woo Hoo a new week and a fresh start. Let's make this week a winner! I got out my old weight watcher stuff to see if I cut back my cals if that would help. I still feel under the weather, so I'm not real motivated right now. Just going through the motions. Those darn allergies!

Let's keep it going. March has almost come and gone.

I'm proud to say that this is 27 days straight of being in range. Felt better enough to exercise for a half an hour last night. I also did some yoga poses. (I did some research on the internet and learned a few.)

Let's do this!

I hear that to March coming and going. Horray for doing yoga!!!

Sadly, I've slipped into some not so healthy food behaviors... I'm still keeping track of my 5 points on paper, but I'm not doin so good in other aspects.

Am going to try to get back on target, though. I don't know which I need more: a hug or a good swift kick!

My forte are hugs!

You can do this. Get back on track now. I've floundered before and it doesn't feel good. But getting back on track does. Wishing you the very best!!

(Whenever I start to flounder, I have to ask myself what's really bothering me? Are you stressed about something?)

lol... Thanks for the hugs. I took care of the kicking myself.
Am sorta back on track... Could be better, could be worse...
Me, stressing? Nah. Just a combination of things, I think. No real "trigger" in particular. Oh, well...

How you doing?

THREE more days of March! Let's make 'em good!!!

Got thru another day. For some reason, yesterday was a hard one. I did everything to distract myself. Wish I could be more like you, not letting things stress me so much. I'm working on it. (I guess it's the perfectionist in me. I have to remember that nobody is perfect.)

Did some yoga poses and walked a lot yesterday. Today I actually did a 30 minute dvd and will go to my line dancing class later. Starting to get remotivated about exercising. That must mean I'm feeling better.

Best of luck to you! (an extra hug for good measure.LOL)

Oh, no... That was meant to be a VERY sarcastic "nah"...
I stress about everything under the sun: weight, food, taxes, career, relationships (or lack thereof...) I can tend to turn into one big ball of stress.

At this particular moment, I think that it's a double whammy stress of friend with whom I'm having issues, but am not looking forward to the articulation of said issues, and a happy stress (but stress nonetheless) of appreciating someone so much, but being afraid that I'm letting them down...

Words fail, in both cases.

Am also slightly stressed over my taxes. Am due to meet with the CPA this afternoon, though, so that should help either way. If I end up owing money, I will be royally p*&*%# off, because I'm barely living above the poverty line here... (another stress...)

Oy. (It did actually help to write that out though... believe it or not.)

Yoga helps a ton with all of this, so I'm kicking myself again for wimping out of my Monday class, but oh well. Get back on the horse. Am planning on going in on Friday.

First of all, the taxes will be done before you know it! My hubby and I decided to do them ourselves. It was kind of brutal, but we plowed thru it. I worried about it before, during and until the thing was finally emailed out of here. I'm sooooo happy that's over!! Now its like, that was then, this is now. On to the next thing du jour.

About your friend that you're having issues with... is she a toxic friend? I don't have time for toxicity anymore. I've actually dropped people that cause me stress because of their own issues. And the friend you like, how are you letting them down? Just being a good friend is all it takes sometimes.

Wow, I can't believe we made it to the 30th of this month! I'm proud to say that I've done pretty well this month, even if the scale doesn't reflect it. I feel better about myself, and that's a pretty good feeling.

My more advanced line dancing class was a lot of fun yesterday. I didn't know any of the new dances, but somehow I managed to keep up. So now I go twice a week -- to the beginning class for the basics and the advanced class for super exercise. I feel like I'm on the show, Dancing With the Stars, because the dances are so fast and varied, and you have to know what you're doing. I also registered for a zumba class that starts at the end of April.

Have a great weekend! Let's be strong.

(((((Tyla))))))
Thank you SO much for the encouragement.
Re: Taxes... Ugh. A total bust. They weren't done when I got there. Supposedly he's going to fed-ex them to me by Tuesday. Just ticks me off b.c I had wanted them to be done by April and I'm paying him a lot of money to do the job.

Re: the friend... She's my oldest friend and I don't really think she's toxic... We're just long overdue for a "clear the air" chat. She's been a great friend to me in the past and we have too much history to chuck it in... I'm just struggling with how to bring up and handle this conversation...

Your dancing classes sound like so much fun! You may have mentioned it before, but where do you go? Is it a studio or community center- type place?

You've stayed within your range and that is SUCH an accomplishment!!! Even though the scale doesn't necessarily reflect it right now, here's some featherweight encouragement that the next woosh IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!

I'm so glad we made it to the end of March!!! Just the fact that we're checking in is huge. Big hugs and let's make this a great week into Easter!!!

Are you planning anything special for Easter Sunday?

We made it through the month of March!!!

Okay, now on to April>>> WE CAN DO THIS!

Thanks for the hugs. I needed those. And thank you for supportive words.

About my dance classes, I'm taking them at the local rec center. I used to belong to a gym, and I miss that so much, but right now the rec center is going to have to do. I've been taking different types of classes each quarter. I took pilates for over a year, different aerobic classes, and now line dancing and zumba. I like the variety.

We're going out for Easter. I'm so looking forward to it. We're going to go to the Cheesecake Factory for brunch. That's my favorite place!

How about you? Any plans?

Let's make it through Easter and beyond.
