Fluctuation sucks!
tuesday: 139.8
wedesnesday: 138.9
today: 140.0
i realize that this is prolly just a normal weight fluctuation for me. its really not a huge amount, and i do weigh myself every day so i should expect these, but it just sucks that my weight fluctuation was back into the 140's. i was so excited to see the 130's again. now back to the 140's. oh well, im about to hit the gym. guess this is encouragement to work extra hard the next couple days.
fluctuation sucks.

If it makes you feel better I'm doing the same damn thing with 180 right now.
Last week: 178.8, 179.6, 180, 178.4, 179.3
Now I'm back up at 180.
I realize it's probably just water and I do need to get back on plan, but damn if it's not messing with my head.

This is exactly the reason I don't understand why people weigh themselves every single day. I weigh myself every Friday morning, once a week, as soon as I wake up. If I weighed myself daily, I would make myself crazy every day.

I make myself crazy if i don't weigh myself every day. I go one of two ways ; i either fat whatever i want cuz i think i can just get back on plan later in the week and the scale will never show my cheating which of course never works. Or i get super paranoid that I'll go a whole week and not see a change in the scale q
So i panic about every little non salad thing i eat. I'm too paranoid to deal with the suspense. Lol

I also am a daily weigher. It actually keeps me sane.
That being said I'm typically 180 and have yet to see those magical 170's. My TOM just started so I'm definitely not going to see them for at least another week, ahhhh!!!! I know I get so much more annoyed with the fluctuations when I'm close to a major milestone (175lbs is my lowest adult weight).
The good news is that if we all keep at it we won't seem these annoying numbers anymore.

I like to be able to see it all in a graph if I'm weighing daily... Seeing that line slowly but surely moving DOWN and not UP (despite days where you fluctuate!) makes me feel less frustrated.

I also weigh myself daily. This, like another poster mentioned, keeps me sane. I usually know when to expect a gain due to high sodium intake so I don't let it get to me much. I do understand the frustration of fluctuations though. I hate it.

A little loss is better than a little gain.

I HAVE to weigh myself every day! If I'm up, it motivates me to stay on plan to see the numbers drop. If I'm down, it (usually) motivates me to keep on going to see more positive results.
I do hate the fluctuations that come with it though. On Saturday I weighed 124.4 during the afternoon. That night before I went to bed I was 128.8. WHAT! The next morning, 128.0. Two days later I'm slowly dropping down again (at 126.0 this morning pre-bathroom and with clothes on) but still. What the heck!

I agree the fluctuations suck. This past week I've been seeing some really good progress. After finally breaking a nine-month plateau where I was stuck at 197, I've been on a steady downward trend for about a week. This morning I was down to 189. But after a 5.5 mile walk this morning and eating no more than I normally eat my weight was up to 194 at noon.
I know my body. Being up more than two pounds by day's end usually means that I'm only going to go down two pounds which means I'm going to see at the very least a slight gain.
To top that off, I started having that weird feeling in my lower abdomen that usually signals the start of my period. I might not see it for days but my weight will start to creep up and up and up. Sometimes as much as 10 lbs and then it can take days even up to a week to see all the water weight leave my body. During this time, I'm always worried that I'm actually gaining fat too.
So sigh... I'm not so sure that 189 is going to hold in the short term. I'd like to show some progress when I see my nutritionist this Friday. Hopefully.
