Default TOM cravings

So, it's the TOM for me and all I wanna do is eat Goldfish pretzels! I'm not much of a sweet person or a chocoholic so salt is my downfall. It's like they are beckoning me from the cabinet. I've been drinking water like it's going out of style today (more than usual) but the craving is still there. If I give in, I'm liable to eat the whole package and I cannot allow myself to do that. All I know it's gonna be a long four days, lol.

What do you crave when you have a visit from 'Auntie Flow'? And do you give in?

I give in. My cravings (for chocolate, cookies, brownies, or a hot fudge sundae) only last maybe 3-4 days, so to me, it's no biggie to drive to Dairy Queen to place an order. 400 calories' worth of a small sundae doesn't break me at this point (I'm in maintenance) and I end up satisfied.

Omigosh I was craving the most RANDOM things last week. Reeces Pieces. "Baked goods" and a lot of other junk food... an craving dessert which I rarely eat! I'm just not big on sweets. I'm praying hard that it's my TOM though, if I were pregnant at least the weight wouldn't be from me actually getting fatter! But I think, from my body's signs, it's coming in the next 24-48 hours. Here's to hoping some of the weight drops after!

And yes I usually cave in. I have REALLY BAD self control on the food front.

Maybe I need to give in and just eat the darn pretzels, lol. Seems like everyone gives in to their TOM cravings but me. Weird or what?!?

I really try to restrain myself. I survived one TOM with snacking on sweet mango and drinking green tea. Now I'm a bit further along in my journey I'm a bit more liberal with food and I'm able to budget a treat into my calorie allowance here and there without triggering a binge.

I had a doughnut yesterday which I totally shouldn't have had but I was going crazy for something sweet. Then I wanted another one later on in the evening but because I'd reached my daily limit I made a deal with myself, if I didn't cheat I could have another doughnut today which I did after my job interview. Pleased to say that the rest of the doughnuts have now been eaten (not by me!) so if I start craving tonight then it's too bad.

my husband spoils me... so that makes it hard. Last week I was craving munchkins and sent him a text saying so, he calls saying "should I pick you up munchkins?" nooo!!! I don't need donuts I just ate cookie dough instead.... Then later on I was craving them again and he went out to get them for me. *sigh*

1. Chocolate.

2. No.

At least, not since the age of fifteen, when I worked out that chocolate is a migraine trigger for me when combined with hormonal shifts. It's a cruel twist of fate that I get chocolate cravings exactly when I cannot eat chocolate. Migraine's a pretty good deterrent. Sometimes I crave sweet things generally, but same goes there, including for sweet citrus fruit. If I am premenstrual and headachy, I will get this weird head rush followed by a headache as soon as I bite into a clementine, it's quite odd. Thankfully all this is generally OK the rest of the month.

I get general premenstrual munchies occasionally, though thankfully it really is only occasional as they can be quite serious munchies. I think that's it for cravings. I've been known to crave pak choi at times, but I don't think it's hormonal. Now that would be a useful premenstrual craving to have, very healthy and I'm guessing it's a good source of iron too.
