Default New and Need Advice

HI! i'm NEW.
I have been 116 for the past several years, and two years ago I got married and slowed down with my running and went on birth control.

and wouldn't you know it, i'm at 126. I'd like to get down to 115. I've got fat on my stomach and thighs. This might sound stupid, but I'm not sure how to lose weight. What advice can you give? I run 1 - 3 miles 4-5 times a week and I don't eat meat or too many refined foods. I do eat alot, I guess, because my husband is a big guy and I make a lot of food, but it's generally healthy. I really would like to be at 115.

I love my carbs and think I need to scale back. It's hot here in Dallas and hard to work out outside. Please lend any advice you have for someone starting out!!!

I've only just started about a week ago. What really helped me was writing down exactly what I was eating during the day, then working out the calories and fat.

Hope this helps

You need to get rid the unnecessary sugar in your diet which helped me a lot. Things like white bread, white pasta, white potatoes, limit alcohol and sugary drinks. Drink more water too. Also, try some HIIT cardio to jump start your weight loss. You can do intervals of sprinting with brisk walking for like 20 minutes. I was on birth control for 10 years and went off it 4 years ago when I had a tubal ligation. It caused me to gain about five lbs. which I didn't lose until I went off it. I can so relate. Good luck.
