Default Talk about wake up call

Just thought I'd share this. Its rather embarassing and I am disgusted with myself. I have been holding off from taking measurements because I knew I gained back solid fat. But just to show you what a few months of off plan can do and a measly 6 pounds can add!

Stats from 02/24/2011 (This wasnt even my lowest or smallest)

Weight: 130
Bust: 31.5
Waist: 25
Hips: 37.75
Lt arm: 11
Rt arm: 11
Lt. thigh (upper fattest area) 22
Rt. thigh (upper fattest area) 22

Stats from today. Disgusted they have changed so drastically with 6 pounds...

Weight: Guessing about 136 (last weighed last week)
Bust: 33
Waist: 26.5
Hips: 40
Lt arm: 11.25
Rt arm: 11.25
Lt. thigh (upper) 23
Rt. thigh (upper) 23.75 (ALMOST TWO WHOLE INCHES!!!)

Talk about serious motivation to not lose and gain. It really does put solid fat and INCHES back on the body.

It is shocking what 6 pounds can do. But, you still have a tiny waist and you are at a healthy weight. I admire that you are able to maintain your weight in the 130s even if you gained a few.

The hip measurements astonish me the most. And yes, it is amazing what 6 pounds can do when you are at a low weight. Maybe in some weird way this was the "lesson" you needed to learn? Of course, I'm sorry you have to battle this now but kudos to you for facing that tape measure and getting your resolve back. And certainly correcting the issue before those 6 pounds became 12!

Thanks yall! It is amazing. Some people just dont get it. They think "oh well i gained the 5 pounds back, now Im back to where I used to be". But thats just it, you are NOT back where you were. Becuase you gained back SOLID fat this time. When before the 5 pounds you were holding on to could have had some muscle, water, etc. in it. Anyways, I wanted to post this to help show people how important it is to make it a lifestyle and not fall off wagon!

So true. I hit GW twice this year (finally!) and for every week "off-plan" afterwards, I gained back 1-2lbs (by not exercising and eating fast food). Ugh... So frustrating, but at least we shake ourselves into realizing it and getting back on track.. it's a pain, but we can work our butts off again.. and like you said, make it a lifestyle and not fall off wagon.. 6 lbs must be a (bad) magic number for featherweights.. I got down to 113, got off track and two months later weighed 118 (GRR!!)... kicked myself back into gear 3 weeks ago and today weighed 115.. It might take a month, but we can chase the lbs off again.. Kinda like Shan said, at least we learned the "lesson" quick and are getting back on track before it gets worse.

Oh Darling, you're still okay as far as health is concerned, but that kind of weigh gain can really get you down, I know. Just try to focus on losing the weight back slowly and sensibly? You can lose sixlbs in 4 weeks, sensibly? So maybe circle a day four weeks from now on the calendar and plan to go out with girlfriends, wear something nice, do something then to motivate yourself? Also tell your friends you are planning this so that they'll support you.

Also, you sound like you have a nice hourglass figure, so focus on that, and imagine how lovely and slinky you will look if you get down to goal. You're not disgusting, you've just had a lapse, so don't beat yourself up, because that just makes it worse. xx

Ferretgirl Sorry to hear you fell off also. We can do this together. It always seems to be a little easier to lose weight just gained as opposed to weight that was gained over the years..

Helen Your reply was so sweet and positive. Thank you for that. In exactly four weeks Im going to visit relatives so I am hoping to just see the 120's by then. Even if its 129.8 lol Thanks again!!
