Introduction/De-Lurk+Baby Steps
Hi! I've only recently singed up, and more recently begun to post. I am a teen who, with the help and support of my parents, is aiming to lose ~20lbs. Puberty started at age nine, I had little boobs at age ten and a few years later-I've outgrown the largest cup/smallest band that Victoria's Secret has to offer. I have some mental problems and non-nuclear family issues that I'd rather not talk about; but losing weight in a healthy and maintainable way will (hopefully) improve my self-esteem and mental health.
I'm beginning with baby steps. Lots of little, easily followed rules. My mental issues make counting calories, measuring food and fat/carbs/protein a sure-fire way to commence with an ED. Ergo, I plan to slowly make changes to my life.
-No sugar, artificial sweeteners, or white flour
-walk to and from school every day
-start kickboxing or martial arts
-drink more water and tea
-don't snack when not hungry
-take smaller portions and stop when full
All of the above are, to me, both common sense and what I have not been doing. for my mental health, I shall not feel guilty about any food. I shall not deprive myself to the point of binging. I shall not hate myself as motivation.
I hope I will be welcome here.
Sincerely,
L. Esenin
