Default 10 lbs. by Valentines Day---Who's with me??

This morning i finally did it, i hopped on the scale for the first time in a week. I was 129.8 pounds. This is the worst news i have heard in a while. I am very disappointed in myself.

I plan to use this thread to track my calorie intake, workouts and weight (much like our Christmas countdown). Please join me!! I could use some support!

I am allowing myself 3 free days (new years day, BF and my anniversary, and my birthday) other than those days i will be strict to my plan!

-no beer
-1100-1500 calories a day
-work out 3 times a week

This can't be so hard, can it??

I'd be in for 5 or 6, more than 1 a week is beyond my feeble metabolism usually and I need to learn patience.

I'll go bold and go 6.8 from my ticker weight which would put me at 145.4 for valentines day.

The 10 pound goal is for me, you are welcome to have whatever goal works for you! I totally understand the slow metabolism!

Today has been really good so far, worked this morning for a few hours, had some oatmeal this morning and just had a small sandwich. Meeting up with some friends in a bit. luckily i am working this evening, so i know the bar issue won't be a problem!

I would love to join your thread! I hope you don't mind a new poster! My name is Kellee. I just decided to consider myself a featherweight. I have read this site for as long as I have been trying to lose weight but have never been an active poster. I would love to change that today! I would love to have a Valentine's challenge. I find myself frustrated that the weight is not coming off as quickly as it used to and I think a long term goal would be so much more helpful than staring at the scale on a daily basis. I am going to try to weigh once a week and update on Friday's. My goal is to lose 10 pounds by Valentine's.

Starting weight December 29:136.8

Kellee

I'm in too ... I'd be happy with 5 lbs too... At 53 my metabolism sucks BIG time ... My problem is not exercise, I love exercise and do it 5=6 x per week, it.s the food...

Goals:

1. 1200 to 1400 cals per day for me...
2. clean foods
3. 5 lbs, and keep it off, that's another one of my problems, I can't keep it off once I lose, I always think I can go back to my old ways...

Yesterdays cals, 1716 - struggled a little bit but that is definitely within my range. I was trying to do calorie cycling so yesterday should have been closer to 1400 but after Xmas binging I wasnt ready for that low.

Offplan foods: 217 cals. (This is what I am going to try tracking. If I am hungry and I eat a healthy snack and go over my planned calories that is ok, its the truffles I couldnt not eat yesterday that are a problem - or eating the chunks of ham fished out of the beans before I mashed them to make refryless beans. )
Weak choice foods: 165 cals (these are foods that arent totally off plan but I could have made a better choice. )
Exercise, run 6.9, weights 40 min with cardio int

This morning I was back to my pre Xmas weight so that is happiness.

This morning I was at 157 just slightly lower than a week ago ... No exercise today I just feel so drained, my body needs a break I guess. I ran and did the gym yesterday, so I'm good...

I am totally in ! I hope by then I am at most 150, but I'd like to be in the 140's range !

As of today I am 162 lbs.. so I hope to be 152 by then. This would be less than the weight loss I accomplished over summer. I need to start exercising. Maybe I will start with a walk a few times a week and see what else I can incorporate into my routine.

Count me in too!

I was doing really good in Aug, Sep, Oct then fell and broke my wrist in Nov. Threw me completely off, but I now feel healthy enough to get back on track but exercise will still have to be limited until yhe wrist is fully healed. I'm going for 5 lbs!
