Ok, I'm officially starting now.

I weighed myself yesterday morning, 132.8. I then proceeded to eat just as poorly as I had the previous two days. When I weighed again this morning, I was exactly the same. So that's my start weight!

Start: 132.8
Goal: 122.8


Plan: (I've got goals set for other challenges so this fits in with those)
-Average 1300 calories a day
-30.2 hours of exercise by the end of the challenge

Just checking in to say that I've been exercising, drinking my water and counting cals the last several days. I'm determined to look better by Valentine's Day. I better!

My goals today are to eat healthfully and in good portion sizes, around 1100 calories and NO DRINKING.

I'm in too - late, but in.

Finally got up the courage to weigh myself for the first time in weeks - 148.2, not as bad as I feared. Went back to low-carb 1/1. Made it to the gym 5X last week - another benefit of some time off from work.

My goal is to be under 140 by Valentine's.

Goals for today:
1) Body sculpting class tonight
2) Stick with low carb
3) Increase water/herbal tea to 12 glasses/day

I'm in too. Late late late, but I'm going to be 5 pounds lighter by Valentine's Day -- definitely!

Gonna start my second cycle of Chalean Extreme workouts today, and am gonna stick as close to 1200 cals as possible.

147.4 on the scale this morning. Will change my ticker on Friday, my official weigh-in day.

Did fairly well with low-carb yesterday, except for a few unplanned pieces of chocolate(allow myself 2 small squares of 85% plus cacao per day).

Missed sculpting class b/c sitter was late, but did 40 minutes on the elliptical.

Did well with water.

For today:
Water!
Low-carb
No gym, but will do some abs work while I'm watching biggest loser
Eat EXTREMELY light at night - maybe just some veggies and hummus. I eat my main meal at lunch.

Katiepony: with you on the no drinking!!! it can be so hard! we go out so often! I have been in two situations since i stopped drinking where i would have drank. i ordered like 5 diet cokes instead! I guess i will be drinking alot of diet cokes this month! I an trying to go all of January without drinking alcohol.

yesterday was ok- i ate really fatty mac and cheese at my friends house. then some of my students invited me out for a brownie, hard to say no! split one small brownie with my BF. for dinner i had a chicken sandwich. it was about 1400 for the day.

Today was great: salad and dolma, coffee, pho (1000 calories)

147.8 this morning. Did well with yesterday's goals, esp. the water. Still picking at some chocolate, but also have my period, so am cutting myself some slack. Definitely doing better than before in limiting portions, not doing mindless eating.

Today's plan:
Low-carb!
20-30 min elliptical, then 1 hour body sculpting class
Even more water
Relaxation/breathing
Only weigh in on Friday - fluctuations drive me nuts
Speaking of nuts, need to watch portions of those. They are my go-to snack when I'm low-carbing, but I may be over-doing. If I am not down to 145 by my 1/15 weigh-in, then I will start measuring everything and counting calories along with low-carb again.

maenad, I'm also trying not to drink for the month of January... It will be very difficult, I love my wine ...

Yesterday I did good ... no exercise though, but I am going running and to the gym tonight...

I'm starting to think I was carrying a lot of junk food water weight AND a bunch of TOM water weight, because this morning I'm down 2.8 pounds since Monday! I can't remember the last time I lost that much that quickly. I guess that makes up for starting the challenge late, lol.

I would like to loose 10 pounds by Valentines also! I have been struggling lately.. For some reason over the holidays I actually lost weight.. I was down to my lowest of 138.2, then this week I have gained! Today I was at 140.2!!! So, so frustrating.

Does anyone have any advice for me? I need to get on a strict plan, I have been trying to count calories, but it has not been working. I am not sure how many calories I should have, or what foods I should stay away from, it seems as though my body is very sensative, if I go one calorie over what I need I gain!

I need help with the diet/food part. Anyone that can tell me what to do, for a diet I would appreciate it. I have been debating about Weight Watchers but cannot afford it.

Last night was my big challenge and i was successful! I managed to have a full 8 hour night out on the town and not have a sip of alcohol! I was one of two not completely drunk people and the only one who didn't drink. after last night, i realized i can not drink this month and live!

not as good food wise, but that's not the end of the world!
