Default 11 days to lose 4.4 lbs by Christmas?

So, the last few weeks I have been hovering between 140 and 145. There'd be a party and it would go on, I'd lose a bit and then there would be another party etc etc.

I kept saying I want to get to 140 by Christmas and after CHristmas the real work would begin to get back to 130.

But it's 12 days to go and I was 144.4 this morning! I even managed to do 3 runs this week.

So this is my last ditch attempt to get to that 140 by Christmas morning. It might even be back to 145 by tomorrow morning, in which case it'll be 5 lb in 11 days.

Starting tomorrow I am going to strictly put here my daily food intake and keep it below 1300 - hopefully I should hit it, or at least see how close I can get by 25/12.

Anyone else still have a Christmas goal they haven't met yet?

ETA: I just saw that my ticker still says the 134.4 I was the last time I came here. OMG - how have I put on 10 lb since then?? I am such a pig.

Robsia, just remember that if you go under 1200 calories a day, your body will go into starvation mode and hang onto every calorie it can... making it even harder to lose weight.

If you wanna get as close as you can to 140 by Christmas, go for it! 1300 calories a day sounds good. Just don't starve yourself or anything like that... you'll just regain the weight anyway when you go back to eating normally, and what good is that?

Wow, that's a steep order -- but you can do it! Just don't go off-plan, keep working out, and remember: even if you don't make it to 140, just by not gaining, you're doing better than 99% of all Americans!

Love this lackadaisy! I'm at least going to try not to gain, but I'd like to lose too! This time of year is just so hard!!!

Well, I'm not American - lol - but thanks anyway.

Oh God - this morning it was up to 145.4 - highest weight for a LONG time.

Just under three months ago I had the Depo-provera shot and I'm wondering if that had something to do with it, as I was doing quite well before that - even if I was a bit naughty it came off quite easily - but I am really struggling this time.

I'm due to have it again next Tuesday and I might tell them to put another Mirena coil in - I had to have the last one removed as it had got displaced hence trying out the shot for the first time. They did say there was a strong possibility of putting on weight.

Anyway, here we go.

Day 1/11
Weight: 145.4
Lost: 0
To lose: 5.4
Exercise: 3 mile run

I'll post my daily food at the end of each day.

Robsia, let's make this a challenge .... I'm with you in losing at least 4 by Christmas morning...

My weekend was not good food wise... I need to move the butter tarts to the basement freezer, they are wayyyy too close for comfort in the upstairs freezer ....

Robsia - wow, that's aggressive - but in the last 6 days I've swung 5 pounds. Turns out I have a sensitivity to an artificial color (don't know which one yet) that can add 4 pounds of water overnight. So ... why not? As long as those 1300 calories are nice and clean ... you go, girl! Me, I'm just going to steer clear of the M&M's and anything else that looks unnaturally tasty!

Well, I managed my 3 mile - it was touch and go though.

My mum has broken her arm and can't drive, and my dad doesn't drive, so I was going to go to their house, leave my daughter, do my run, and then take them to the shops. But when I got there it was raining heavily and although I have run in the rain, I prefer not to.

So we decided to go to the shops first and see what it was doing when we came back and - yay - it had stopped raining! So I did my run, not my best time, but not bad either.

Doing OK for food so far - had a couple of v. small cookies (37 cals each) but the rest has been good.

So, food today was:
Breakfast - 2x Weetabix with semi-skimmed milk - 186
Lunch - 2x Weetabix with semi-skimmed milk - 186
Dinner - Pasta bolognese - 370
Snacks - 4 x small cookies - 148
6x large mugs of milky coffee - 354

Total: 1244

Probably not the healthiest of days, but it's right calorie-wise. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
