Well, ladies, I had a COMPLETELY crummy weekend - lots of stress led to very poor food choices & virtually no exercise. But I am back on track so far today...ugh!

Evening folks!
I did not do good yesterday but I got the week off to a better start today. Walked, elliptical, work and not bad for food. I'm now on the hunt for a snack but I'll think about it carefully.

Good Morning!
It's been pretty ridiculous of me to still have the scales in the kitchen. The bathroom is done . I still need to find decorator pieces but the construction is well over. But last week, I was dropping so nicely that I was afraid (supersticious) to move it.
So ... having bumbled a few pounds over the weekend ... I decided it was OK to do it this morning. Ugh ... the first place I thought it might fit! I have to move it out from the wall but it's good where it is now. I still shows 147.4 but ... ya know what? Could be. I'll just celebrate again when it gets back to 145.
Should I say this again? Oh why not! Two pounds is only one litre of water. In fact... one litre of water weighs 2.2 pounds.

susan: lol if i had a regimen i would let you see what im doing wrong :P unfortunately, over the past 4 years, ive found that i lose weight better when i dont diet and such. For example, last week i decided i was determined to lose these last pounds and so i ate healthy (but still about the same amount as normal-i never allow myself to go hungry) and exercised, and i gained 2 pounds. whereas over the weekend i was at a friends house, where i ate a bunch, including prolly 4 cookies worth of cookie dough, and didn't gain a pound. I've said my body doesn't work right, and it really doesn't. i think my hormones are messed up (i started getting my period 7 years ago, and i have never had 12 periods in a year. that along with other things that are clearly wrong with my body), but my blood work has never shown anything. but ya, sorry for the tangent.
I'm not sure what my body wants me to do to lose weight. My body seems to like it better when im just living, and eating when im hungry and such. But isnt diet and exercise supposed to be the key to weight loss?
it's very confusing and if you have any suggestions or advice i really would love to hear it. im willing to try anything (anything healthy, of course:P) to lose these last stubborn pounds.
On a brighter note: i didn't gain over the weekend and my skinny best friend gave me a pair of pants that she doesn't fit in anymore (she's even skinnier now :P) and i tried them on and was like "they are too tight" and she looks at me like im ridiculous and goes "they dont look too tight at all. i think they look good"
so even though they are too big for her lol im ecstatic that i fit into a pair of her pants

Take a moment to remember that I adore you and then I'll explain ... No ... no ... that's not true. Not, at least, how you are perceiving it.
Without doubt, I believe that in order to lose weight, one must eat less and move more ... which will cause a decreasing number on the scales over time.
You also said "My body seems to like it better when im just living, and eating when im hungry and such." ... this is a fairly common method of weight loss. It would appear to be a combo of intuitive eating and enjoying the movements your body was meant to do.
If you are happy with your size and shape why change anything? If you want to lose a little more ... you'll have to change something.
If you'd like to discuss this further ... I have a couple of questions.
How did you lose the weight that's gone?
How long did that take?

I would ask the same questions that Susan did. You have done something to lose 26 pounds, what was it ? Remember , too, that you are very close to goal. I have found those last few pounds are very stubborn in coming off. But they will.

Worked too hard to ruin it now!
I have had a bad case of the munchies the past few days and I am trying not to let it sabatoge the progress I've made. I only have a few days until I have to fit into a form fitting dress. Exercise has been good but I'm struggling with the food. I can and will do this!

i honestly can't tell you how i've lost the weight. I'm pretty sure that my calories have prolly gone down, because i cut out a lot of mindless eating when i tackled my problems with emotional eating. So even though i never counted it out, im sure that that had something to do with it, because i did a lot of emotional munching.
From my highest 168 i had dropped to 148 through flipping through different diets and such, but went back up to 158. I've gone from 158 to my current 140. i was looking through old posts, and in december i made a post saying i was at 157 and then in April posted that i was 141. So without dieting, without depriving myself of anything i wanted to eat, but also without emotional eating i dropped 17 pounds in prolly 3 months (considering all the time in which i didnt post). Which i guess is a while, but ive now been sitting at 139-141 for 2 months.
I'd like to lose one more pant size, and im pretty sure that my last 10 pounds will drop that pant size for me.
I honestly have no idea what i've been doing right/wrong. Though i definitly have too much dieting experience for my age, i definitly do not have enough experience in my own body to understand why its acting that way.
Hopefully all this information helps you ladies to assess waht is going on. If you have any more questions let me know because i really am looking for some help or insight into what i should do.
thank you!!!

Morning!
Yup, 100percentME, I think you're underestimating how healthy it is to eat smarter and less. And I think that if you just keep this up most of the time and add a little exercise ... you'll have you wish. Good intense walking, a little resistance exercise ... Yup, you can acheive that slimmer body.

Hey guys - I'm back!!
I have excuses all ready - I had several birthdays and ate too much pizza and cake, I couldn't run as I hurt my foot after doing my 10K, I have an adoring boyfriend who thinks he is doing me a favour by buying me yummy treats he knows I like and I feel horrible saying no so I just have to eat them.
But the truth is, I put on 10 lb and felt ashamed.
But it's gone, and I'm back!!!
I don't think actually it was 10 lb of fat as I lost about 5 of it almost overnight when I climbed back onto the wagon - but some of it was definitely real - my jeans were getting tight and they are loose again.
The good news is, and I hate to jinx myself here, it does seem to be falling off pretty easily - in fact I hit my lowest weight ever this morning. And I've been out running again for two weeks now and feeling pretty good.
I'm so close I can smell the 120s!!
So, my last Monday in June goal on my little spreadsheet thingy is 132. I have to lose a pound a week every week until 20th July (129), then 0.75 a week from then until we go away on 17th August, which will take me to 126. I'm on target so far, in fact I'm 0.4 ahead of target for this week and it's only Friday but there's no room for excuses or plateaus!!! I mean business this time.

Hi Robsia! I've been bouncing around, mostly maintaining, at first it was in the 133-135 range but now more like the 134-137 range, so I need to get back on the wagon, but am having trouble!
I know people say summer is easier b/c you move around more, but summer is HARD for me b/c there are always BBQs, ice cream events, umbrella drinks!
