Thumbs up It's finally over!!!

Anyone else feel like they've just survived a war? The holiday season has officially ended at my house .

I am throwing out everything fattening , all remaining alcohol , and anything else that is not OP for me.

I feel so relieved that I can now go back to just dealing with my regular food. And I'm so looking forward to being able to make goal early in the new year

I have one more celebration at a restaurant which is an easy one and then New Year's eve with DH where I will cook us a really healthy dinner .

Okay - back to reality.
I've been slacking off since - hmmm, around the 23rd.
Only exercise has been shovelling snow and walking in the snow.
I really haven't gone too over the top - but the scale says otherwise.
Up a whopping 5lbs, hopefully mostly water - but I'm not counting on it.
Wish this damn frozen porridge like snow would just disappear already. I've had quite enough.
Hope everyone has had a lovely holiday so far and is doing better in the food/exercise dept. than I am.

Ok, well I wound up doing TERRIBLE throughout the holidays. Total stress eating. And may I add, too many tasty things around. That's what undoes me so many times....it just TASTES GOOD!

Thought i'd share this....last night went to an old friend's 50th birthday party, and everyone was commenting on how great he looked. Reason? He lost 15 pounds! Simple as that, folks. I was secretly jealous. But it didn't stop me from spending half the night at the buffet table.

It's just your normal canned pumpkin - but it is a reminder for people to check the label and not accidentally get pumpkin pie filling. I was writing the recipe for a freezer coop I am in and have to be VERY specific for the shoppers.

As much as I prefer organic produce, I think Libby's pumpkin is better. The organic canned pumpkin I bought tasted like ..can.

But..just once in your life...make a pumpkin pie from scratch. From a real pie pumpkin (not a carving pumpkin). Good lord. Heaven. I had to last year because I had only bought the organic can of metal flavored pumpkin and it smelled awful but I had 2 beautiful sugarsweet pumpkins from my CSA so I made a real pumpkin pie.

Now, of course, dh doesnt want to go back to canned.
