Weekends are hard!
Does anyone other than me find it difficult to continue losing weight on the weekend? My weight drops during the week and creeps up on the weekend. I work all week to get it down again - only to start the cycle over again.
I think it's just a matter of will power and good choices while out w/ friends or having friends over on the weekends...
Just checking to see if I am the only one w/ this struggle?

You are NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT alone here girl... That is my biggest problem... A little wine, a little extra snack, a little more of this or that... and BAM... I've gained a pound on Monday... Whereas I had lost a half pound on Friday ...
I need to be wayyy more vigilant...
Hey, Marathon Mom, let's make a pact to stay on track this weekend ? K ?... Wanna shake on it or maybe a ... I'm game are YOU?

Weekends are pretty hard, and it's mostly because I'm sitting around the house most days, with food and snacks everywhere!! When I'm not at home, and my husband and I are out, the trip usually involves a restaurant somewhere. But the worst part of it is my water consumption...during the week I'm able to get plenty since I sit at a desk and work. On weekends, though, I slack off way too much.

Ilene... You rock! Thank you for inspiring me! Yes. Let's on it and we'll stay on track this weekend. My goal is to maintain/lose and not gain...
I love a challenge.
I'll check in with you on Monday
Mindi - You're right - water is key.. I don't drink as much on the weekend either. We can do it!
Thank you...

Weekends usually mean fast food for lunch which always does me in. I try to get the best choices, but sometimes I cave. I agree, weekends are hard.

There comes a time when we all need to stop saying "I wish" or "I will", and start saying "I am", so we can later say "I did".

for me weekends are easier. One, I run more on the weekends and two, I am not alone at home all day with the kids. Sorry, no matter how much I love them, being a SAHM is boring a lot of the time. Plus my son is still at the age where he needs snacks frequently. So it is really hard to stay out of the kitchen or to NOT grab a taste of whatever snack I am preparing at any given moment.
Unfortunately this weekend heralds the start of kart racing season which means several Sundays dh will be gone from 5 am to 7 pm which mean even LONGER time alone and no way to work out at all. Even my gym doesnt have daycare on sunday.

I'm soooo in!
Ilene and Marathon Mom: I seriously need to join you guys in working towards weekend maintenance! My love for fine dining and red wine on the weekends is cancelling out all my hard work during the week.
I woke up this morning and nearly had an anxiety attack! Just thinking about the two dinner parties I'm going to on Sat/Sun is stressing me out!!! The sad part is my friends are supportive of my weight loss efforts. So there's bound to be some great healthy food choices. But after two glasses of merlot, I throw caution to wind and my downfall begins.
Having confessed all that, it's clear I could use your help!

Count me in too. Weekends are diet killers. I even try planning ahead and "save" a few extra calories for the weekend. I need to hang a sign in my kitchen - "GET OUT!"
