Default Workout/Weigh-in Accountability - January 20 to 31...

A new thread to start off anew .....

Today I weighed in at 154, which is good... I'm down 5# since January 2nd... Very happy with that I must say ....

DH and I just came back from a 2 hour walk... We stopped for breakfast mid way, it's my favourite kind of day, bright and cold -15c with no wind ... I didn't run because I'm still nursing a chest cold ....

So since January 1st how has everyone else done? I'm looking forward to the responses good or bad.... because we are all in this together....

Wow! Go Ilene!!!

My 'workout' was quite minimal compared to yours, but since I've done nothing for a while now, it felt good to move. 10 pushups and a 45 minute brisk walk. Gym tomorrow!

Ilene! You're an animal walking in that cold weather!!! Congrats on the 5 lb loss too!

Claire - have fun at the gym! I bet you'll be happy to be back... take it easy though

Back at it - good luck with phase 3 of SI6!

I'm starting to feel well enough to start doing some low to moderate intensity cardio! I'm going start off with riding my recumbent for 30 min this evening.

I'm down 7 lbs since Jan 2nd, but probably 3-4 of that was just water/bloat.

I have pretty much been POP with diet and exercise since January 2. I wasn't losing, so I dropped my calories down to 1200 a week or so ago. Amazingly, I'm still not losing. I've dropped some weight since I started, but mostly just water and pretty much all in the first week. Since then, no progress at all and I'm still over my high goal by 3-4 lbs (and over my low goal by 8-9 lbs).

Exercise for this week will be:
- Mon: one hour with trainer
- Tues: ellipital for 30 min, abs for 15 min (should be a spinning class, but I have a hair appt so I think I'll have to miss it)
- Wed: one hour with trainer
- Thurs: one hour cardio class
- Fri: one hour with trainer
- Sat: one hour swim with intervals
- Sun: ellipital for 30 min, abs for 15 min

With all that exercise and 1200 calories a day, you'd think I'd be losing weight, but you'd be wrong. I'm feeling a little frustrated about it.

Hi all first time posting in one of these threads...it's fun to see how& what everyone is doing. weighed this a.m. at 148.5, so a whopping 1.5 lbs down from last Monday . I'm on track to meet my mini goal of 145 by Vday-but I have some BIG obstacles coming my way (noted below) Didn't workout a lick yesterday. as for the rest of the week...

Mon: bootcamp at 5:30-6:30 a.m. (it was 41 with a wind chill of 20 here)
Tues: Bootcamp 5:30-6:30 a.m. + 30 min run at Y on treadmill@9:30
Wed. Bootcamp + 30 min run
Thur. 1 hour cardio @Y (maybe 30 min Zumba)
Fri. Bootcamp & yoga
Sat 1 hour cardio @ Y + 30 min Zumba
Sunday-rest it Family day

This week and next is going to be eventful: Wed night is girl's night out with one group of friend at a Tapas restaurant, Sat night is a trashy tacky party with 20 other couples, my dad is in town, 1/30 is my baby's 2nd bday, another neighborhood girl's night out at someone's home, and 2/3 is the actual bday party for DD.....I am going to need lots of help and guidance...this is totally when I fail!!!

Barbara - hang in there! That water weight loss you had at first is probably translating into fat loss... does that make sense? So you aren't seeing it on the scale.. but you will.

I went from 149 down to 143.5 my first week - of course that was water weight. It took almost another 2 weeks to move down to 142.

Your body has NO choice but to let go of the fat sooner or later!

Oh and Welcome! Thisrlipo

I had a good leg workout tonight about an hour and then 20 mins on the bike while I waited for my g/f...

Food was so-so... .... but the calories were still low enough...

I haven't gone down in weight this week either...

Ah Poop! No weight loss here either but 2 inches off my waist,.25 off my neck and an inch off each thigh this week!Seems weird that I'm not loosing any weight though doesn't it???? What gives with that??? I know muscle weight more than fat but it can't be transformed that fast!GRrrrr!
I'd REALLY like to lose weight around that belly between the waist and the hips...sigh...

Question Body thinks you're starving?

Barbara Might your body be telling you it's starving? With all that workout and such restricted calories your metabolism might have gone into ultra conservation mode. Maybe some additional high density calories/protein for a couple of days to get your metabolism fired up again?

Well, since I promised myself I'd do better after the holidays and vacation ... I think I'll own up now.

I came home at 140 lbs.

Yesterday, I had a short walk and a listless little leg workout. I ate about 1000 cals of stuff that was not good for me.

I certainly can do better than that today.
