It's funny you all mention that, because my DH is losing weight along with me, and it's hard to see him losing 2-3 lbs a week because he stopped eating Burger King for breakfast every day...meanwhile, I'm eating 1200-1300 calories a day and working my butt off, and, well, you know. That's why I love the Featherweights folder.
I'd like to join in also if you guys don't mind. I've been posting in the calorie section for a while, but could use a little support. I didn't really have much support when I first started, but it seems that the more I lose the less I support I have. I've never considered myself a "featherweight, but it doesn't feel right in the other groups. Like I shouldn't be complaining and I already get that in the "real world". Oops - sorry - I didn't mean for this to be a mini rant.
Hey guys...how are y'all? I have 16 lbs left to go to get to my goal....so I'm getting excited. I think someone here had hinted at the fact that it's hard to get support in alot of forums because we don't have 100+ lbs to lose so it's considered vanity or something like it. *Sigh* Or when you talk to friends or family about wanting to lose weight and you get the "you're already skinny" or "you don't need to lose weight". That makes me so mad sometimes!!! It's like, ok...you can be thin and super toned but I can't? WTF?!?! lol so it's hard to get support from anyone so i go online to forums to see if i can get a little something!
Hi everyone. I'm so glad that I found this thread!
A little about myself...I've "quietly" struggled on and off for 2 yrs. to the lose the 15-20lbs I gained after a truly terrible breakup! Most of my friends/family have their own weight issues and I suspect may be secretly HAPPY that I'm not longer slipping into my skinny jeans. I could really use support and encouragement from other featherweights battling against those last few pounds.
Quick question *** What get's you pumped up and excited in the morning to eat healthy and exercise? My motivation always fizzles out in about 2 weeks.
dangerouscurves I remotivate myself every three days or so (binge city time) by putting on my skinny, teeny (for me) jeans and a tight little t-shirt and taking a good long look in the full-length mirror.
Thanks ladies for the great suggestions! I will definitely be visiting featherweights more often and checking out the blogs.
Mudpie: From way in the back of my closet, I just pulled out one of my favorite outfits. Dark blue jeans that use to fit like a glove and a beautiful shimmery silver top. I put them on and gasped for air! I am now MOTIVATED!
WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME!!! I've been a member for about two weeks. This website helps me alot. If I don't go on here for a few days I find my exercise and diet suffer. I need to go on here daily.
