Fat Smash Diet
Is anyone trying the fat smash diet and are you having coffee or diet drinks on the detox phase?

I just ordered the book at Amazon. What does phase 1 consist of? I gather that you cannot have meat, but that's about all I know.

You can have fruit, veggies, beans, rice and other foods. I'm on day 3 of detox and so far so food. It really hasn't bothered me not eating meats.

I got the book today. I was impressed that the author gets right to the point and doesn't waste time on lots of scientific talk. It's refreshing in a diet book.

starting smash fat
Hi,
I am starting Smash Fat in the morning (May 10th). My friend is in phase three. She had caffeine withdrawl headaches, but said it is still worth it. Her weight loss has been encouraging. I drink a lot of diet soda, but I am up for the challenge if this weight will come off. Let me know how you are doing.
Added on evening of May 10th-Don't have a caffeine headache so far. Would love to weigh myself in the next 8 days, but I the book says not to weigh yourself until phase 2.

Bought the book yesterday -- I plan on starting the diet tomorrow
(May 12th) looks very doable for me.

I am on day 5 of phase 1 (detox). I did get a horrible caffeine withdrawl headache the morning of day 3. I took one excedrin migraine and have had no problem with the lack of caffeine since. I can't wait to weigh in this Friday. Good luck!!!

Well, let me be the first to say that I *screwed* up already. And restarted today -- pathetic because I'm still thinking about splurging/binging.

Dear VirgoGirl,
Further into the book he talks about when you screw up. It not about punishment, it is about forgiveness. I also liked when he said, "If you cheat, you are only cheating yourself". Don't be so hard on yourself, you can do it.

I don't know anything about this diet, but just wanted to add, Excedrin Migrane has Caffenine in it, so if you are trying to avoid that, just for a FYI.

Hello everyone:
I started this diet on Friday, June 2 so today is my 5th day. So far so good. I do have to admit that I cheated the second day and had some wine. It's going to be tough for me to give up alcohol. Don't know how that's going to affect my weight loss, hopefully, not very much. I miss eating meat but I like the way I feel. I have more energy, I don't feel so stuffed and I feel lighter. I've tried all sorts of stuff to lose weight (as you can see from my profile) but this is the only "diet" that I've ever been able to stick with for more than 3 days and still be satisified with what I can/can't eat. I'll keep you all posted on my progress. Good Luck!

Day 10 finally arrived. I made it through the detox phase and I lost a total of 8 lbs over 9 days. I feel really good. Day 9 was especially hard. I went to a party and I gave in on the alcohol. :-( I'll try to do better on that end during Phase 2. My goal for detox was 10 lbs but I didn't quite make it. But, all is well. Phase 2, here I come!!!!
