I'm so glad there are some people on this board again! When I started phase 1 there was nobody here

We got through phase 1 ok, and Eric said said we're to phase 3 tomorrow. He's lost 28 pounds and I've lost 16.

We both got creative with fruits and veggies so it wouldn't be so b-o-r-i-n-g!!! I couldn't eat freakin' salad with beans in it every day! My sister lost 30 pounds on this, so I took a lot of her advice. We use the low-fat Dannon or Yoplait yogurt that comes in big tubs and made a lot of smoothies with berries and stuff. I also found that sauteed mushrooms, onions, and colored peppers (with just a spray of no-fat spray) and then instead of making a butter sauce, I used some tomato sauce, just enough so it would be saucy enough for the brown rice. Now that I'm in p2 I can add some chicken or beef to that. Putting tomatoes in the stir-fry was a good way too.

I also made the brown rice lots at a time and then heated it rather than make it fresh.

Anyway, we made it through! I'm still eating lots of grapefruit, grapes, cucumbers and stuff now. The newer version of the book listed low-fat granola bars as well... and even though I don't have 1 every day they sure satisfy my craving for chocolate. I'm able to find some with just 2 or 3 grams of fat.

That gets me through the tough days. We also went to a HuHot (Mongolia grill) to go out for lunch, and we didn't even have to cheat! The hardest part was to not stuff myself I just chose liquids that weren't oily... like the soy sauce and lime juice.

I've got my bowl of popcorn next to me (spritzes of fake butter spray and little salt).
Best wishes!
