I just started cycle #2 of EFS and I'm confused about milk.
So the guidelines say " you can have up to 1 cup of low fat, fat free or soy milk", whether it is in your cereal or by itself...milk in your smootie does not count toward your 1 cup".
If you have it by itself, should it be considered a "snack"?
I just bought some light chocolate soy milk and I'm trying to figure out how to fit it in .
I compared the sugar levels on the light chocolate soy milk, the fat free vanilla soy milk (I use this reguarly), and fat free milk and they all contained 10-12 g and 80-90 calories.
Still not sure. But I now I don't think it should hurt much. I guess I'll know after I complete cycle #2.
I'm really new to this but from what I've been reading online and from the book about phase 2. Most people would say look at the ingredients not just the label. If it has high frutose corn syrup it's still a no-no, and the sodium amounts. The book says you can have 4 tsp of sugar a day so if you can find the accurate equivalant of 1 gram of sugar on the food label to how many tsp or tbsp of sugar it really is. Then there is the chocolate issue again not on the list.
Personally if it's in moderation, like 1/4 cup at a time just enough to get you past the craving then do what you gotta do. But I myself wouldn't be able to do it because it would probably be just make me want more and wreck my diet for the whole day.
Good luck!
