Hi! I am coming off of two years of bodybuilding type dieting, which has helped me get in great shape and build muscle. Bodybuilding "clean eating" has TONS of protein and I am just sick to death of eating so much protein and not eating fruit! At 46 I also want to lost "the last 10 lbs" so I am starting Fat Smash today. I live in the Cayman Islands and am pretty sure I can find the book here tomorrow but today I used these great forums to find out what to eat today. I had oats/ 2 egg whites for meal one, brown rice/veggies and 2 egg whites for lunch, bean and veggie soup for dinner, and some chickpeas, yogurt and fruit in between. I did not feel hungry and was suprised that coming back to carbs and fruit did not cause any hunger spikes. I did a one hour kickboxing class, plus a 20 minute run. I am very active and wonder how my workouts will be on the new "plan". I have been kicking around giving up all meat/poultry/fish and going veggie plus dairy only, we'll see! I felt great today, the diet has a good "feel" to it and I am excited!
I know this is an old post, but I was wondering how you are doing on fat smash, I too did a Body for life type diet before and love the Fat smash plan, too much protien made me wonder sometimes, just how healthy it is for your kidneys and such...hope you are doing well
