Loved the sweet potato fries...I sprinkled mine with chili powder and they were awesome, kinda sweet and hot.
Thanks

I made these last night. I sprinkled matchstick sized strips with allspice, nutmeg, and a little salt since I like my yams more as a "dessert". I also turned on the broiler for the last 5 minutes, flipping them every minute, and they came out crispy and delicious!

Default Yogurt Dip

Traditional Greek Yogurt dip is:
*Plain Yogurt, strained - put in a cheese cloth lined strainer that is laying atop a bowl, leave in fridge until excess liquid has passed through into the bowl. You are aiming for the consistantcy of sour cream.
*Garlic, minced - fresh is better
*Cucumber, peeled, seeded, and diced
*Lemon Juice - just enough to zing it up

Mix and enjoy. Use amounts you are comfortable with - I personally like a lot of garlic - you may not. You may add addtional seasonings to the dip - whatever sounds good to you.

the broiler idea sounds good. I just made them and some were nice and crunchy, but the ones that were stuck together weren't. I'd either put less sweet potato or use the broiler next time. I cut them about as thin as fast food fries. I put Valentina hot sauce in the yogurt/lime dip, tasted good. Thanks for the recipe.

Tried these again the other night, but I switched to wedges (like the recipe says). They were much better than the thin fries.

I don't think there would be anything wrong with that - it sounds rather yummy. The only reason I can think of not being allowed to have dried fruits in phase 1 is because of the increased sugar content. I say go for it!

Just thought I would add to this....with the grilling season starting up!
I tossed my sweet potatoes with the oil, salt, pepper in a ziplock and grilled them!! Oh my word!! I couldn't stop eating them! yummm! And last night I grilled fresh pineapple (not for EFS) with a little brown suger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and rum extract...yummmmm again.

Hi... I am considering the Fat Smash diet.

I have not purchased the book.. will do so as soon as I can get some extra money. I saw some frozen sweet potatoe fries in the frozen food section. You can just pop them in the oven. Is this safe for phase one. Or should I get the fresh sweet potatoes.

I don't see why not. The frozen one's should be fne. I think the diet is fairly easy. Especially if you like beans and brown rice. I really like it. I'm on a fast right now, but as soon as it's over I'm back to the Extreme Fat Smashers.
