Default veggie, rice & bean soup

came up with this myself

made in the crock pot...

2 cans of ff, low sodium broth
1 bag froz. mixed veggies
1 can black beans
1 cup brown rice
( i used blk. pepper & onion powder , you can spice it up any way you want)
let this simmer in crock until rice is tender.

I found this to be very filling as well as delicious !!

that sounds really good! I'm looking to find some healthy recipes so i don't have to keep eating just plain brown rice with some veggies. Im making stuffed green peppers tonight with rice, tomato sauce, and corn...yum! if it turns out right, ill let you all know!

Great ideas, both of you Fat Smashers!

Have you noticed how SWEET (and wonderful) frozen corn tastes in a rice or egg dish now that we aren't deadening our taste buds with sugar overload?

??? Not following you. On FS, you don't have to ..you can have corn..just not potatoes and avacadoes.
