Default "Smashing" Good Pancakes (phase 1)

I just found this site...totally love it! I am starting detox today for the second time (lost 9 lbs on first phase 1) allowed myself some holiday cheer and am now ready to get back on track...anyway, here is my super easy recipe for yummy pancakes...

1/2 cup dry oatmeal
3 egg whites
1/2 cup NF yogurt (any flavor)

Throw it all in the blender, use it like pancake batter, if it's too thick add yogurt, too thin add oatmeal...(makes two good size pancakes)
I usually make them with vanilla yogurt, makes the pancakes just sweet enough to not need syrup, I tried it with some gingerbread flavored yogurt (holiday special they were selling) and boy were they good...gonna try strawberry the next time.

Thankyou, this was great, I loved the texture!

I made it into 3 servings (because I thought I was only allowed one egg white a day. duh. Read the book, ailidh!) but one pancake was fine. I put mashed up banana on top and it was great.

Potentially stupid question:

when ya'll make pancakes, what do you make them with? I know generally pancakes are made with vegetable oil and fried, but since we obviously can't have that... how do you make them?

I had this with strawberry/banana yogurt with a sliced banana on top and I agree it was very yummy! Although I made a big mess, I was a bit clumsy this morning and spilled my first batch..lol..but well worth it.

I followed the recipe but I didn't like the texture at all. It seems squishy on the inside, like it wasn't done. I swear I must have cooked them for 10 minutes and they never really cooked through. Very sad too...I LOVE pancakes!

I added a drop or two of pure vanilla extract, it's so good that way. tomorrow I'm adding some apple puree from making my juice in the morning

Fat Smash Momma, I'm on my first week of Phase 1 (first time) and I think doing well so far. Saw your pancake recipe and tried it this morning. Very satisfying and the kids even ate them without any complaints! I have high hopes for this diet. Thanks for the great recipe and I would appreciate any other Phase 1 recipes anyone might have.

I make this recipe all the time. You can also use milk instead of yogurt. I make them the night before (and nuke in the a.m.) so I can have a yummy treat even on a workday.

This sounds so good! I'm a sucker for pancakes...its ok to put "I can't believe its not butter" in the pan so they don't stick right? If not, please let me know. That's what I've been using when I use a skillet....
