Have prayed for AMANDA, and those fellas with the 'swine' flu; plus anyone else that may have it -- that they will be able to stop this virus in its tracks very soon ...
Angie continues to feel better each day...will see family doc on Tuesday
Niece Sunni, says the doc wants to remove the lump and send for a biopsy....said when new lumps come back this fast it is not good. She said he will get the results and discuss the possible mastectomy at that time. She goes in tomorrow for surgery at 2:00...I guaranteed her there would be PRAYER WARRIORS in action before and after her surgery.
Asking for prayers for my daughter in law, Nicole's, father Jeff. Some of you may remember he had a stroke a while back. He is doing so-so. He is alive and does have speech, but very struggling, and a bit of understanding. He does recognize things but can't always put things in order. His muscle control has been "tight" like he is all bound up. Doctors are going to place a pump in his spine tomorrow to see if they can pump fluid? into him that will release the pressure. Asking for prayers for God's will to be done and for his wife and other daughter/son in law that take care of him in Florida.
Gary-prayers for Sunni for the procedure today and for good results, but also for strength whatever the results are. Also, for your daughter's continued recovery (as well as for anyone else with this flu), for Angie, and for Jeff.
I also would like to ask for prayer for my father and father-in-law. Both have COPD and f-i-l has been having difficulty breathing. He cannot walk across his living room without gasping for breath. They are sending him to Mayo today for tests and consultation. He has had throat cancer and prostate cancer already and we're suspicious that this could mean lung cancer, now.
My dad has similar symptoms, but refuses to go to any doctor. He just says he wants to die quickly and soon.
Ronni, prayers have been asked for comfort and peace for you father and fil as their journey with this. I know from watching my mom, go through the same thing, the sadness. I also pray that both men realize they do have a Savior waiting to hold them, I pray their eyes are opened wider and their hearts are no longer hardened.
Coming out of lurking to request prayer for my good friend Sally. She had a motorcycle accident yesterday. A lady crossed the yellow line infront of her she lost control trying to avoid a collision. She was in surgery this morning to make repairs to her pelvis. Please pray for healing and support for her partner Dave and her family.
an update-my fil has been diagnosed with lung cancer, a huge mass almost filling one lung. Biopsy next week to find out what particular type of cancer it is, then probably chemo and radiation. It is not operable at this time as it is too large to remove. They can't do the biopsy any sooner as he's on coumadin (sp?) and has to be off the drug a week before any procedure that could cause bleeding. Thanks for your prayers, my friends.
I have not talked to Sunni yet....I will call tomorrow....I also will talk to my dil tomorrow on how her dad's surgery went. I don't want to bother them tonight, they are all just, hopefully, coming to from their surgeries.
Asking for prayers this morning for the families of two Marine Cobra Helicopter pilots who went down and died in the Borrego-Anza desert here in the far east county of San Diego. The men were stationed out of Camp Pendleton, names have not been released yet. We have several helicopter pilots from our church stationed at Camp Pendleton.
