I am so sorry Amanda  I prayed for her last night, during Good Friday service, that when the time was right God took her home peacefully...I hope that happened.
Good friday is a very sad day for christians but we know in 3 days it will be better! I hope and trust that in 3 days it is better for the friends and family of Pat.

 HELLO PRAYER PARTNERS ~ just wanted to post a reminder for my stepmother GRACE (we call her Gracie), who is having another bladder operation tomorrow (Friday, April 17, 2009).
Our family would appreciate any prayers you could say for a successful procedure. We would like to see all those cancer cells gone out of her body, and peace and comfort for Grace and my Dad ... thanks very much!

THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS for our stepmother, GRACE ~ I know how much she and my Dad really appreciate them, as do all 8 of us kids. Gracie is a lovely Christian lady who took on quite a task when she married into our family after our mother passed away.
GRACE got through her surgery OK, but there was more cancer than the surgeon had thought; and she needs more prayers for the aftermath effects of such a surgery and for my Dad's nerves. He had to rush her back to the hospital last night as there were some complications (ie her blood pressure fell too low, her catheter malfuntioned, and she was having blood clots).
They managed to get her stabilized and she is now resting at home with meds to help her sleep, but she has to go back and see her surgeon on Monday for a checkup. Dad said it was a harrowing night and it all reminded him way too much of when our mother passed some years ago. So we are praying for peace for both of them right now.
Anyways, thanks again for all your prayers, as they are very appreciated by all of us!

THANKS EVERYONE ~ for all your prayers for GRACE, as they are very needed right now. My Dad called me late last night (Saturday) to tell me that he had to rush GRACE back to the hospital again as the complications were getting worse again.
Needless to say, our entire family is upset with the way they handled this case -- to us, anyone who has had any kind of invasive or internal surgery (esp cancer related) should be kept in the hospital for a minimum of 24 hours after said surgery, to make sure there are no complications. By doing that, they would catch them right away and the patient and their family wouldn't have to go through all this nightmare!!!
ANYWAYS, GRACE is back in the hospital for good until they can get a hold of her bladder cancer specialist and deal with these complications. My poor Dad was having fits becuz this is exactly what happened to my mother when she died; so this brought back all those horrible memories for him, AND they made him wait in the waiting room for 3 hours before they told him anything. 
So ... we really appreciate all your prayers for them, and I know they appreciate them a lot too. Thanks again ... Rosebud
