PRAYER REQUEST PLEASE ~ this is a week for freak accidents: my DH twisted or sprained his left shoulder today when he was putting NIKO outside on his rope. Tonight, he is in a lot of pain ... so we ask for your prayers for a quick healing and recovery, as we hope it's just a minor sprain, and thank you all in advance for your prayers ...

GARY ~ prayers sent up for all the families involved in both of these tragic incidents ...

Prayers said for your DH, Rosebud

Also, continuing prayer for all requests listed before. Our merciful and wonderful Father will provide for all needs, giving comfort and strength to see us through all trials. "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of Creation! O, my soul praise Him, for He is my help and salvation." (from a hymn)

I have a praise. My husband was riding his motorcycle to work yesterday and and a car rear ended him. He was knocked into on coming lane but no cars were coming, he never left the bike and didnt drop it. Staying up on it was pure miracle. He has a stiff back and the bike has some minor damage but over all, its pretty good.

Gary, you know the saying "There are old, motorcyclists, there are bold, motorcyclists., but there are no old, bold motorcyclists." Everytime I see someone on a motorcycle I pray for their and others safety.

Thanks BARGOO...my brother was hit by a truck when he was 19 while riding his motorcycle....has carried a very painful leg for 35 years.

Nothing like the wind in you face though....I went from San Diego to Bloomington Illinois on the back (and drove when dad would let me) of a motrorcycle when I was 13...so much fun

Mandy, I am thanking God for His grace and His Mercy. I am glad to know he only came out with a stiff back. God, is good. My DH rides a Shadow. He took the class on day, bought the bike the next, went for a long ride, fell broke ribs, got back up on it and has never stopped riding. He loves it.

Gary, my DH said that was a looong ride you and your father took, but he bets it was special, nothing like it. I guess it's got to be in your blood.

Prayers for all who requested Remember, Grater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. Stay steadfast in your walk and you will be VICTORIOUS..Praise God

Aggie

WOW, MANDY ~ PTL -- that your DH wasn't hurt badly; and the bike can be fixed ... my DH was just putting out our boy, and he decided to go one way and DH was heading the other ... so something had to give. Unfortunately, it was DH's shoulder ... ouch!

But, he is feeling a tad better; he went to the emerg and they gave him a few pain pills to take before he goes to bed so he can sleep. It's really hard to sleep with a bad shoulder, as no position feels comfortable, but we are grateful that it is getting better, as long as he doesn't move it around too much.

So ... thanks to you all for your prayers ~ it will just need some time to rest and heal!

Mandy - How wonderful that the situation turned out so well! Praise be to God!

Rosebud - prayers continuing for your DH's healing!

I'm hoping we can get the scooters out this week. The snow and ICE in our alley are finally gone. Two days are supposed to be in the 50s, so

Prayers continuing for all!
Hope you have a blessed Sunday!

Believe it or not here is a picture of the bike (not the one we took but exactly like it) my dad and I took from California to Illinois in the summer of '67 when I was 13. It is a 1966 BSA 650, the only difference was ours had a little sissy bar for me to lean against and we had saddle bags for our gear. Wish pops had one of his big Harley's then!

I'm thinkin' someone had to be praying for us!!

God was certainly with you in more ways than one. That was a special time with your dad. I see it is one of your treasured memories.
