HELLO EVERYONE ~ it's so nice to see so many of our regulars here again. We had rain all day today, but we needed it after a few hot days; anyways I like a mix of of both really. So we just stayed indoors and did stuff around the house today.

LOVNMOM ~ those particular lines in your song come from Psalm 141:2 ... it was David speaking; and there is another mention in Rev 8:3 & 4 where prayers are mixed with incense upon the golden altar before the throne, and then they rise up before GOD ...

MCMOMMY2 ~ you are right that it may a bit soon to be concerned about your loss if your baby is only 3 months old: someone said that it takes nine months to create the baby and you should expect the same amount of time to get into shape again, esp if you are nursing, you will need to make sure that you are getting proper nutrients while your body heals as well. We do have a new mothers (Preggos, I think) in the DIETING WITH OBSTACLES FORUM that you might want to check out too.

ISABELLA ~ very sorry to hear about your friend's loss; DH and I prayed for them just before dinner tonight for GOD's comfort at this time. Like many others here, we have been through the same experience more than once.

Years ago, I clipped out an article from a magazine by a fertility specialist that was about miscarriage. In it he stated that there were at least 100 factors that can contribute to miscarriage. Well, I'm sure is was serendipity that I kept it, becuz I took that article out many times to read over the years; and it helped me a lot to deal with the miscarriages in our life. Moreover, I put my trust in GOD that He knew best!

HI SUE ~ nice to hear from ya; that sounds interesting how you are talking through the PC to your niece.

COUNTING ~ thanks for your kind words! Prayers continue for DS2.

GARY ~ yes, NIKO is getting a bit taller and slimmer; lost all his winter fuzz or baby hair (not sure which) ... had to brush him often, but now has a smooth shiny, but thinner coat. He's playing ball with DH as I write; he is getting calmer every day, but like kids has a silly moment or two. We are very pleased with how he is progressing in his training lessons; and he is very loving and sweet too! We actually love having someone to look after and who gives us love back for it ...

HI KAREN AND SHY ~ glad to see you both!
HELLO TO ALL MIA's ~ we know that you are out there; hope you are all well and may GOD bless you richly!

Take good care, your fellow encourager ROSEBUD ^^PRAYERS^^continue for all ...

I am never going to get those darn windows done. I am working on them and it starts to rain. That wouldn't be so bad but the rain is blowing in the darn window I am trying to work on. I have the window pulled out and there comes the rain all over my couch lol.

Hello Everyone...
I have been around 3FC for little bit over 2 months but never posted here in Faith Based Support. I was reading one of EZ's post.. (actually it was about his SIL and DD) and he mentioned here and I was right on my way!

Since this is my first time, I should introduce myself, I'm guessing...

I'm 27 year old single mother of a 2 year old girl going through divorce at the moment. I don't believe in a divorce but he has cheated on me while I was pregnant with our daughter. I tried to work it out but he doesn't have God in his life anymore and he's busy living irresponsible drunk life...I now believe God has a better plan for me and my DD. I work full time at night because I support Korean business hours. (I'm originally from South Korea, and live in Michigan right now...)
I go to school full time (except in summer) and should be able to get my Associates degree this coming semester so I'm very excited about that because I wasn't even paying attention to it.
I've always been overweight, and tried different kind of diet..from Chinese medicine when I was in Korea, to WW..and stress diet, too. lol. The lowest weight I can remember as an adult is about 170 lbs but since I was never working out or anything and it was just a quick fix, it never stayed with me. This time, I'm working out, trying to eat better, and trying to actually change my life style, and let it be a part of my life.

Some names here are familiar, and some are not. It's nice to "meet" you and may God be with you today! =)

McMommy2, I'm a mother of 4 who gained around 50# with each pregnancy. Give yourself time. Nothing quick and easy works in the long run. Eat healthy foods that will help keep your energy up. You need it!

Gary, Thanks for the invite and the welcome!

Rosebud, Thank you for the nice welcome.

Rennie, I hope you don't start getting the amount of rain we had been. It's suppose to start again this afternoon. Whooee. I hope not!

Tara, my prayers are with you as you go through this transition. Divorce is scarey, but sometimes it's necessary. Pray and listen for God's direction and you and your daughter will be ok.

With the flooding in our area all summer school and baseball had been postponed for a week. Yesterday I was cleaning up the lunch dishes and thinking how nice it had been not being on the run. We'd all been playing and doing chores together. Nice family time.....then I hear feet pounding the driveway and my two middle children yelling, "mom C (our 15 year old DD) dislocated her knee again while helping dad!!!" Needless to say the ambulance had to be called, an emergency room visit was in order, knew sleeping arrangements had to made, etc...but she rested well during the night. 3 years ago she had dislocated the other knee so at least she knew what was going on and she knows what's in store with P.T. Funny how life (the devil) throws those curve balls just when you least expect them...
Have a terrific Wednesday!

Hi everyone! I haven't been on here much lately. I come home from work exhausted mentally. We've been dealing with some dishonesty at work and it finally came to a head yesterday. Now, hopefully I can get back to doing what I was hired for originally. Thanks so much for all your prayers. I really felt them. There were times I felt like God was taking way too long to answer my prayers and now that it's over I am grateful for his timing. Please pray for the person we had to let go. I believe that deep down she's not dishonest but is going through some personal struggles which may have triggered this.

Other than that I haven't been thinking much about exercise and diet. I feel that now I may have my life back together and can concentrate on me for a while again. Fortunately I have only gained 2 lbs. I thought it would be a lot more.

It's so nice to see all the new people here. WELCOME!! We're all in different stages of our life, weight loss, etc. but we can still pray for each other and support each other.

Gary: Nice grad pic. Tell Ron congratulations! And you must be really smoking on that treadmill if you have to oil it.

retiredone: I am so sorry for your friend's loss. That is so hard. My prayers are with their family.

Well, I better get going to work. A new day!! Have a great one!

Default Thanks ...

Thanks for all your support and encouragement. My husband and I talked last night and we decided that we could afford for me to return to weight watcher meetings again. I really had success on that previously and feel that the summer break (I am a teacher) and my kids in daycare 3 days a week for continuity I should have plenty of time to exercise, concentrate and take care of myself. It is funny, I know I will still be the same person but I just want to feel healthy...I am sure you can all relate. I hope to get to know you all better but until then , I will just be praying for all of you.-Erin

Hello, Everyone!

Just wanted to try to catch up with you all while we're away, but I keep losing my wifi connection, so I have to be quick!

Isabella my prayers go out for your friend and for you, because it's hard to see our loved ones suffer.

Welcome to all the new chicks! And, I'll remember all the prayer requests as we travel. It's easy to keep God in mind and His promises as I see His awesome works in our country!

I have to tell everyone what happened as we drove into the Black Hills on Monday evening. We had great weather the whole drive from n. IA, so we took time to drive through the Badlands, but as we were leaving that area and entering the Rapid City area, a rain storm popped up and we had some heavy rain for a short while. As we drove out of the storm, we saw a rainbow form behind us. And, it wasn't just a small partial rainbow, but a huge, bright complete rainbow with another slightly paler full rainbow above! Praise God for His promises! I just feel like He will be protecting our home from the flooding while we are gone and keep our sump pump running! It was just awesome to be reminded of God's promises and feel His presence as we started on our trip. We had real concerns about whether to leave with the water running through and more rain for later this week, but we had hotel reservations we could not cancel without penalties, which, for our circumstances, would mean that we wouldn't have been able to afford to go later.

Thanks for all your prayers. God is wonderful and is watching over us and our home. He is in all our needs if we only remember to call on Him and His power. I'll keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers until I can post again-it'll be a couple days. God bless!

Thank you for the prayers and warm welcome! We had a bad weather at the beginning of the week and church was cancelled today, so my DD won't be able to go to church tonight, which she was sad about. (Since I work at night, she stays with her dad's parents at night and they usually go to church on Wed) She had hard time with me leaving today, she was so scared and cried out "Don't go to work momma.." It really tore my heart.

Well, my calves are hurting so bad I am having hard time walking. I stretched them good but I think the running I did yesterday did it. It has been about a week since I did C25K and my legs are not used to low heel shoes so I got into the same problem when I first started C25K. I did NOT skip my workout today, though, and hopefully it will get better soon. Well, since I'm at work, I will be back later.

Prayer Request please---
I have not been on this site in awhile! I have a dear friend her son which is 9 years old, he loved to play sports, has came down with a disease " Legg-Perthes". He can NO longer play the sports he loves or hardly play like a 9yr old should.
He now walks with a limp & has to be pushed through stores in a wheel chair.....
Shriners Hospital has taken him on as a patient. His 1st visit there was on Monday. They told them the disease/condition has to run its coarse & see how it effects his hip. They have to wait until he has finished growing which can take 6-7 years to see the damage it has caused then treat. They are going to follow up w/ him every 3mths. This family needs our prayers. If you could please just say a little prayer for my friend & her family.
They are the Lane family. Thank you so much!!

Good Morning! Still hanging in there. We're still in PA. and enjoying the visit with Tim's Dad and sister. Waiting to hear if Tim's brother is going to come down this weekend from New Hampshire. We'd like to see him too. I've done the WATP's videos a few times but sometimes find it hard to get in. I'm planning on getting that done in just a few minutes before we get busy today.

Right now we are planning on starting our 3 day trip back to MO. on either Sunday or Monday. Trying to watch the weather and see if we can sneak through the storms.

Sending thoughts and prayers your way. I hope everyone has a good day.
