Default I need a new source of protein

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I have been takeing a thyroid drug for 1 & 1/2 yrs. I moved from Oregon to Wisconsin and recently was able to get online and also read some books. I work in Home care, cook for my pets, live with hypothyroidism, study & practice natural health, should avoid soy, and because of my beliefs I strongly feel a need to stop consuming animal products. I new it would happen and sure enough, my husband was reading the paper and as of 5/1/07 the live stock in this state will be microchiped. I have seen in The Word of God that we are not to eat the meat of an animal who has been sacrifced to an idol and I believe microchiping is included in this topic. Because of my imperfect thyroid it's best for me to avoid soy products or anything containing soy. I also prefer not to eat a lot of beans. I have recently learned what I should & shouldn't eat for thyroid health and it doesn't look too easy to avoid certian animal products and not eat soy at the same time. I could use a little advice. Thankyou Leipreachan70

What about peanut butter, shelled nuts or seeds, or maybe tofu.

How about cottage cheese and other dairy sources of protein. If you can tolerate egg whites, they are usually the source against which all other proteins are measured.

I recommend you look at websites for vegetarianism and veganism.

In order to get protein, I'd suggest a mix of grains, vegetables and legumes. You can also get protein from such things as nuts and nut butters.

I drink unsweetened almond milk, it is tasty and very low calorie with some protein.

Have you tried albacor? Even Jesus cooked and ate fish, even after His ressurection!
