Hey girls,
I am new to this board as of today. I am a stay-at-home,sometime substitute teacher, mom of 5 boys (6 counting my husband

) from 8 to 16 years old. I stay very busy, especially this time of year with the boys sports, Bible study and end of the year school activities.
I LOVE to eat! It was never much of a problem until my 30's (I'm 38 now) and now I weigh more than I ever have, aside from being pregnant. I don't fit in many of my clothes and I refuse to go buy more. Something must be done and I know myself well enough to know that counting calories and/or points will not be a long term life change.
Theological issues aside, I am going to try the Weigh Down approach. I believe that there is plenty to get out of the first book when read with discernment. That way I won't feel guilty over eating a cookie, but I must control the unnecessary eating.
What type of success have you guys experienced with Weigh Down? Any special words of encouragement?
I look forward to getting to know you guys and encouraging each other as Paul calls us to do. "Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing." I Thess. 5:11
