Default Confused!

I'm so confused I lost 8 pounds and gained it all back even though I was still working out. What am I doing wrong?!
I've heard about a program called slim in 6. Does anyone know if it is worth the money?
I'm having trouble staying motivated because I have no one to do this stuff with. All my friends that are heavy don't care and my thin friends are already okay so they don't want to do this stuff. I need help!

I've gained weight or not lost weight plenty of times while working out. I've found that it's true that it's all in the food. You are taking in too many calories.

Have you been tracking your calories? How many are you eating each day? What is your BMR? How many are you expending through exercise?

By working out, do you mean cardio or weight training as well? If you are lifting weights, you may have put on some muscle, which is a good thing!

Before I screwed up and gained 30 pounds back, I was going to the gym faithfully for both cardio and using the weight machines... I was still large, but felt much stronger and was losing inches faster than pounds.

Also, unfortunately monthly timing can obscure your actual results as well...

Well, my doctor is having me do cardio to start out with because I'm physically disabled and have to get my knees stronger. So I walk everyday for about and hour, depending on how my legs are doing.
I don't eat very much. That really isn't my problem. I intake about 1200 calories.

It can be tough to find support when you're in a setting like college. Luckily, this web site is filled with support!

I think Slim in 6 is a cardio with resistance exercise program. You could probably do something very similar at your school's workout center.

It's very possible that you are not eating enough food, if you're only getting 1200 calories per day over an extended period of time. You want want to bump that up a bit to see if that helps. Try spreading your meals out throughout the day, eating several small meals instead of one or two large meals. You really want to have breakfast, a small snack, lunck, a small snack and dinner every day so your body feels nourished throughout the day.

Good luck with your program.
