Ok i can't fugure out how many calories i burned walking today and i need some help because fitday doesn't have the right activity, so here is what i did

Walked about 1 1/2 miles
90 degrees and sunny outside
i was pushing 2 todders in a stroller total weight was about 80lbs

I wouldn't worry so much about numbers, the important thing is that you were out there with your kids, enjoying the sunshine, having a great day and doing something healthy for your kids and yourself...

They have "Walking, 2.5 mph, firm surface." I always enter information conservatively rather than try to calculate other factors like pushing a stroller, etc.

Hi Amber! I don't feel fitday is accurate with their cals burned numbers. I use shapetools. I'll have to look for the link. Good job on getting out and exercising. Don't forget, you might gain muscle which will make you look thinner eventually but the scale might temporarily go up! I push my baby almost every day. Get out in the early morning, bring plenty of water and don't over do it! It took me along time to work up and I do 60 minutes a day easily now but sometimes when I do 120 it is over doing it for me even.

Hey Jasmine - which direction do you think Fitday is off in? I've been feeling pretty comfortable with their calories burned b/c they are way lower than the cardio machines at the gym, which I know way over-estimate - but if that's wrong too, I'd like to at least know!
