Trying to find a pedometer that works for my hubby
OK, I bought one at Wal-Mart for my hubby and we followed the included instructions, but couldn't get it to work. Anyone have any suggestions for a reliable pedometer, one that works well? I'm considering going on eBay for one, cause our local Wal-Mart lacks in variety, LOL. But before I buy, I want to make sure I'm getting a good one, ya know? Thanks.

well....not sure which one you tried. I bought mine at Wal*mart also.I got the talking one..which i thought was a little kooky but it does calories burned, steps and miles, which I am tracking all 3 .My only complaint is when I am standing at the kitchen sink if I leab over it bumps the button and the voice comes on and tells me how far I have walked...SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME THE FIRST TIME!But it is really simple to use and I think was aruond $12-$14. I had previously bought the cheap one they had for $3.88 that just counted steps and converted to miles but didnt have the best of luck with it. Maybe you got a defective one? Good luck with your search.

Omron makes the best pedometers. I have an Omron HJ-112, It's very accurate and counts regular steps, aerobic steps, and even counts calories burned. Depending on where you go, they can be pricey. You might try Amazon if you can't get a good buy on eBay.

I tried the one for 5 bucks at Wal-Mart, mainly cause it was all they had! Maybe people in this town don't walk a lot :P
