Exercise Accountability - September

I hope it's ok for me to start this up. I didn't see one going yet. I posted on the August thread before it hit me that it's not August anymore.

Ran 2 miles in 25 minutes
Biked 3.2 miles
Attempted rollerblading 25 minutes

Happy September!

Sept. Accountability

I like the idea of a monthly accountability; I ended up creating a group for it, since the concept appeals to me. Currently I have a fitness regimen of running, swimming, biking, and power-walking. School starts again on 9/23 and I have swim classes, running, and weight training. Last semester I was eating a lot of whole foods and superfoods, so I had the necessary energy and fuel to keep up the grueling schedule of work, workouts, and school. I plan to do the same thing this semester, and those that follow, so wish me luck!

For September, I'd like to lose 5-10 lbs and get my body conditioned to regular exercise again by the time school rolls around. In addition to the usual holiday festivities, I'm going to spend Christmas this year with my mom and baby brother; it'll be my first time seeing them (and them me) in 7 years!!! Definitely a motivator for exercise and wanting to look my best, don't ya think? :D

I'm enjoying reading everyone's progress and daily exercise rituals. I'll come back in a week and let you all know how I'm doing. Let's hope I can get September off to a good start!

:wel3fc: Transformation.... The group you started is it through your school? That's an excellent motivator when you can get friends in "real" life to participate in working out...

I haven't done any workout yet today... I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, that's usually not a good sign :^:

Oh boy, I'm behind.

Sept 1 - 48 min walk/jog, 30 min strength training
Sept 2 - 48 min cardio (stairclimber, bike) PLUS setting up tent and camping equipment for 2 hours.
Sept 3 - 1 hour hiking, plus 10 hours of the greatest tricep exercise I know...fishing.
Sept 4 - 2 hours taking down and packing camping equipment (did I mention the campsite was down a flight of stairs from where the car was parked? Try that carrying a 2 room tent...)
Sept 5 - 48 min mixed cardio (stairclimber and bike), 20 min shoulders/triceps.

I'd like to join this thread!! It'll be a good way for me to track what I'm doing.

Sept 1 - 2-mile walk (Leslie Sansone video)
Sept 2 - 40 min walk outside (30 HI)
Sept 3 - nothing (unless you count dancing around at a John Mayer concert) ;)
Sept 4 - 37 min walk outside (30 HI); 20 min lower body toning (Kathy Smith video)
Sept 5 - 35 min treadmill (30 HI)

The HI stands for high-intensity. I'm increasing my high-intensity minutes gradually--the rest is warm-up or cool-down.
