When I hit a plateau, it's almost always due to my diet. The portion sizes creep up, and so do the calories.
Further, as you lose weight, your body doesn't need as many calories, so at some point, you stop losing and it becomes maintenance. That's when you have to look at your overall program- intensity of exercise and calorie intake.
I clean up my diet for a while, until it creeps back up. I don't stop exercising, but I don't necessarily exercise more frequently. The number of hours I do now suits my daily routine.
My problem is that I always convince myself that I need that one more snack in the evening. I'll be fighting that for the rest of my life.
