I am going into Curves tonight
 

I made an appointment to go in tonight to Curves. They are running a deal of 50% off initiaion fee. Does anyone know if there is a better deal out there right now or maybe one coming up?

I don't know when the next promotion like this will come up. May be another year, but I signed up when they had the deal where if you bring in a bag of groceries, they will wave the sign up fee.

I would ask whoever you talk to there if there is any way at all to wave that initial sign-up fee because it's really going to strap you. A lot of times they will do it because what they really want is that monthly fee that goes along with you signing up to be a member.

Be aware that you have to sign a 2 year contract and let them automatically deduct if from your checking account if you want the lower monthly fee. If you handle it any other way, it will cost you $10 more per month. But, by paying $10 more per month, you can cancel your membership any time. I chose the first option(automatic deductions) because it keeps me motivated to go.

I don't think it's a national deal. My mom's area is having an initial fee waived sign-up right now. She just joined Wed. No up front fee at all. So it seems like they all get to have their own independent deals at times.
