Hi everyone!

I am interested in women only clubs in the chicago area. I have a membership at curves but also like to do cardio and weights on my off days.

I have been going to Womens Work our World which sadly is closing.

I tried out Ballys again today and I have to say I really dislike working out with guys. First I had a guy next to me on a treadmill and he really smelled bad. I could barely work out next to him. Then when I was checking out the weights section I was the only woman there and the guys were just stareing at me. I was very uncomfortable.

So before I break down and join Bally's can anyone recommend a Womens only gym in the NW chicago area????

Why not buy your own weights for an "at home" workout? 5, 8 or 10 pound weights are decently priced. If you want to workout with other people, perhaps you could do a month first at Ballys before you sign a long-term contract.

Im not in that area but I can definitely understand which is why I joined an all womens gym. I hated being stared at and checked out while Im working out.

Geez I am never checked out lol.The smell part i totally get.I need to change my time because when i go at noon there are some smelly people there.
