Yikes, all! I bought a hogu, which is the protective pad for sparring for taekwondo. I also bought arm and leg pads and a mouth guard. I thought only athletes needed mouthguards!! I am going to put on all this gear tonight and go sparring. Like for real. With other people who are stronger and faster than me. Ummmm, good thing I have protection, eh?
Remember to move and dodge and watch out! It's such good fun once you get used to it!
My trainer thinks I'm bad at sparring (or could be better...) because I've never been hurt - I tend to just stand there and watch them kick me! He says he doesn't want to start hurting me, but unless I move he's going to start beating me up! I'd better get him first!
