Default BP Meds and Heart Rate

I suppose if you are on Blood Pressure Meds, that prevents your heart rate from going very high when working out. Is that a true statement? Any insight appreciated, I am sure we have some nurses on here. Thanks!

I'm not a nurse, and I can't answer your question. But, I'm on beta blockers which slow my heart rate, so I never pay attention to target heart rate goals when I work out. I just watch the clock and/or consider how I feel when I exercise. Others here have said the same thing in the past. You may want to ask your doctor if or how you should take it into consideration when you exercise.
