Vinyasa Yoga DVD Recommendation?
Sometimes my yoga class gets canceled and I would really like to have a DVD at home - any recommendations? I am looking for both strength and stretch, or, as my instructor says, "heat up and cool down". She has recommended Baron Baptiste and Shiva Rea. I am waiting on the Shiva from Netflicks. Baron's "Journey into Power 1" seems too advanced - I watched it last night and will try it this weekend. Thanks.

Yes, there are yoga dvd's put by yoga magazine. They are really great, the instructor Natasha Rizopoulos has a great approach & the music is very soothing. It is a 3-part series that is great for a range of abilities. Originally I found the dvd's on Netflix & just rented them as I perfected my practive, however you might also look into purchasing them at yoga magazine's website or maybe eBay.

Have you tried anything by Sara Ivanhoe? She has a five dvd set from the company Natural Journeys. She also has several from Crunch. I really enjoy her Candlelight Yoga dvd. There are plenty of reviews of them at amazon.

^^ I second the Ivanhoe suggestion; she has one that is a 20 minute Yoga Weight Loss DVD that is a pretty steady Vinyasa Flow and not too extreme or advanced.
