have you seen extreme makeover? the show does plastic surgery on people and also sends them to a several week-long boot camp type exercise program. do these intense places exist for us non tv participants? i would love to go away for a month and have someone teach me how to eat and work out.looks like they really worked hard for those weeks,,spending several hours a day lifting,etc.the results of such focus were impressive,i thought,and i want to do it,too!
if they do exist,,will i have to take out a second mortgage to afford it? just wondering...

I'm not sure if this is as extreme as you might want, but in the April issue of Shape magazine there is an article on "5 vacations for under $400." That's for a 3-day excursion. These are resorts with mountain biking, hiking, kayak, swimming, fitness, etc. available, so you could make the experience pretty tough. I particularly liked the Key West resort, myself.
