Did you run today?
Did you run today?
Saturday 25th April, 100 years since the Anzacs arrived at Gallipoli, I was on the beach to see the sun rise out of the ocean.
After reciting the poem for the fallen to the rising sun, I ran for 1 hour 40 minutes. No idea of the distance though...just along the beach and back.
So did YOU run today?
Auto.

I did! Well, mostly walked. But did my run/walk intervals. Just 3 miles around Lake Hollywood but made it through! All before 7 am

As it happens, I ran 1 hr and 40 min as well. It was 8 miles, which is the longest run I've had since coming back to running in Oct. 2014.

It looks like there are a great group of regular runners here
I like Ian..."day had a y in it so I ran"! Do you run every day Ian? Are you a streak runner? I have done a 50 day streak in the past just for fun, but dropped it when I had an overseas trip, I ran on my trip, just not every day.
this morning it is pouring with rain, like someone is emptying buckets over the house, I shall have a cuppa and see if it eases up...if not, off I go anyway!
Auto

Yes, I do try to run every day or 6 out of every 7. When I travel overseas I either plan running routes in advance or link up with a local running club.
Today I ran 4 miles with friends. My favorite kind of running.
I do not run in heavy rain. On those days I find a treadmill.

I ran in the rain! I enjoy it in a perverse sort of way, at least afterwards when I get into a hot shower!
I don't have access to a treadmill, so it is get out whatever the weather, or take a rest day. I do that if it is really icy because I am afraid of falling and injuring myself.

Yes! I'm not quite sure how far, though. When I looked at my running app, my track made me look like a drunk person! It was all over the place. I've never have that happen before. And then I almost got hit by a car. Great run.
autodidact - Good for you for running in the rain. I would sooner stay in bed and just hit the gym later.
IanG - Are the cherry blossoms still out? Must be a beautiful run.

This thread is seriously motivational. I have to talk myself into the four days a week that I run, haha!

I walked today. A lovely cold autumn morning. Bonnie and I walked about 10km along the estuary. Her stitches come out tomorrow and I am planning where we will run together.
