I lucked out. I live on a beach ( well on a sandune actually! It would get wet actually on the beach...
) I have a track along the estuary ( birds feeding at dawn) across the road at the end and back along the beach. That's 7 km. I'm walking it daily at the moment, with the dog who is not allowed to run.
Then I can extend it to the spit....10 km.
At the weekends we often (used to) drive to the hills to run trails.
The dogs stitches come out Thursday. It's the weekend now so I shall try to run both days, and a national holiday Monday so that's another chance. Then Tuesday, Wednesday walk.....Thursday walk to the vet and run home along the beach with the running dog!
Time to start my new life!
“If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run.” John Bingham.
