Default 4 Favorite Things that Keep Me Motivated

The best ways to stay motivated (what works for me)

I listen to music that has high bpm (beats per minute), anything remixed or fast paced is great. Studies show music increases endurance by 15%!!

I look at pictures of fitness models or fitness quotes that get me going. I use weheartit, pinterest, instagram, etc and just search for "fitspo" or some fitness relate keyword and bam- a stream of fitness quotes and pictures of fitness models pops up.

Every night I fall asleep to a hypnotherapy recording. The recordings range from "control binge eating, weight loss, a new positive you" etc. It really puts me in the right mindset and I find myself making better choices throughout my day when I listen to hypnotherapy the night prior.

Every morning I write affirmations related to my goals. A few examples are:
"I am so happy and grateful now that I have a tight and toned body"
"I weigh 110 pounds and I feel great"
"I choose to make positive healthy choices for myself"

What keeps you motivated?

getting on the scale and seeing a weight loss, helps keep me going. Feeling better keeps me motivated to do more walking. Buying smaller clothes. I have to remind myself, that my weight didn't just appear in one day or night. It will come off like it came on, one day at a time, one pound at a time.

Taking it one day and 1 pound at a time ! Feeling and looking better every day!

Setting fitness goals keeps me motivated. If I just want to burn 300 calories, well, it's easier to just skip breakfast than to spend an hour on the treadmill. But if I want to do a sprint triathlon, or beat my old speed record for the 5k, or bench my bodyweight, or do a handstand, then I'm definitely gonna have to hit the gym (or the track or whatever). I find it a lot easier to stay motivated for tangible achievements like that than for another two ounces off my butt.

Nice 'active' clothing keeps me motivated, too. New exercise clothes make me want to go to the gym and gawk at myself in the mirror. Something spangly and sparkly makes me want to go to dance class so I can get good enough to look good wearing it out.

Music, definitely
The exercise itself, I love it.
Hearing about others doing similar exercise.
Yummy food - thinking about those vegan fritters this morning after 4kg jog and during 6km walk. :-)
Tracking it is great too. Like seeing PBs!
I have way too many comfy fitness clothes but it does make a difference to me.

Feeling great after class is what keeps me going back. Exercise is not only for ones body--but their mental attitude also. And a good workout--sends those happy endorphins flowing. They're also highly addictive.
