I've been doing the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home DVD series for the past 8 weeks and I think my body is starting to get too accustomed to the basic routines.
Due to significant osteoarthritis in my feet and knees, I need to stick to low-impact aerobics and routines that don't involve a lot of crawling around on the floor but I know I have to change things up and increase the workout intensity in order to keep the fat burn going.
Does anyone with similar physical limitations have suggestions for low-impact workout DVDs that can help me change things up? Thanks.
I find that using hand weights while exercising increases my heart rate. Also, if you're up to it, maybe alternate your aerobics dvd with a ab dvd or muscle toning dvd or even exercise bike, so that you're upping the ante a bit and not getting bored.
Denise Austin's aerobics DVDs have low impact options. I have one called "Denise Austin's Personal Training System" that lets you choose a customized workout by choosing cardio, upper body, lower body, ab &/or stretching segments. You can also choose low or high impact cardio. The moves are pretty basic.
If you do a search for "Denise Austin aerobic" on YouTube, there are several workouts to try to see if you like her style. : )
