Nonsmoking is awesome. Never going back!

I think I'll bang out a couple miles tomorrow. I'm feeling lazy and underfed.

devadiva, how did your piriformis issue resolve itself?

Hi everyone. Can I join the party? I joined 3FC several months ago then never really posted much. I've been running for a little over a year. Getting ready for my second half marathon on September 8. Last years time was 2:39. . Trying to do 2:29 this year. I don't run a lot of races, but I like to run.

Ran 11 miles yesterday and 8 tonight. Feeling pretty good. Hoping to find friends and support here

Hi ladies. Hope you don't mind if I jump in?

I'm in the middle of ''omg it's tapering time and I feel the worst ever''. I have a race on Saturday and I am scared to death. I ran my last run before the race last night with the feeling of going fast and after looking at my watch when I was done, meeeeeh, wasn't so fast after all LOL

Bonus : I'm pretty sure I ate 2-3 mosquitos during this run. ... proteins, I guess? LOL

Hope you are all doing good!

Ok I can tell that I love running now...
I have an awful cold right now and I'm P.O.ed because I can't run. I even considered it even though I have a splitting headache and can't breathe through my nose very well

Just wanted to get in some good mileage before my race in two weeks

Hi ladies!!

Welcome Kal - that's a great half time! What's the date of your next one? Mine is Oct. 13th!

Welcome back turbo! What/when is your next race? Your ticker says June but is it another half in Aug/Sept?

SEVEN miles yesterday!!!!!!!!! Wohoo lol - I haven't gotten over 6 miles in 3 months since I scaled back for my injury after my last half. I'm so happy - foot wasn't great but I managed - I think I'll be ok for this next half - first time I've felt that way!

lm3898 : Yeah my ticker isnt really up to date OOOOPS! I had a race last weekend actually!

***

Did my half race last weekend... It was hard. There was massiveeeee hills, I had to walk a little bit after getting the worst ... I think you call it stich? in english? EVER. It was the first time I had to walk for this reason in a race.. and all of this around the 11km, when you still have almost half the race too go! It kinda killed my mojo and I did not PR. At least it wasn't my worst time ever. I finished in 2;11;08 (yeah I'm a slow runner hehe), exactly 4 minutes slower than my PR in June. Ohh well. There is always another race!

Hi all!

I am also running a 1/2 this weekend. I've only run one other 1/2, and my Garmin showed it very short - close to 1/2 mile short, so I kind of feel like this will be my first "real" 1/2!

Still battling Achilles Tendonitis, but I ran 6 yesterday and am not hurting too awful much today - I have foam rolling like a maniac and I believe that is really helping!

Happy running all!!

Jen

Weather got hot again since yesterday. It's so humid. I was planning to go for another short recovery run but I think I might use gillyweed, yuk.

Got MRI results it is lumbar thing so off to LA again to she a neurosurgeon and see what he has to say, some bulging and narrowing talk in a couple areas seems that is what is causing feet and leg pains....
Upside pup and I ran 4 1/2 miles yesterday and did 1 1/2 of weights at least it helps me feel normal! Taking a small trip by myself to go see sis and family for a couple days no exercise.
