Default Hips after C25K?

They seriously hurt, not like injury hurt, but not used to using them hurt... has this ever happened to anyone else?
When does it get better? I've stretched my brains out and used the hot tub, they're still really sore...

I get sore hips from jogging sometimes, I think it's my hip flexors? Stretching everything out usually helps me though. Are you warming up & cooling down each time? Stretching on your rest days could help too, so your muscles don't get stiff like mine do sometimes. I try to use my foam roller on days I don't work out or walk/jog, at least, & it helps.

I'm not much help, but I'm sure someone who knows more about this stuff than I do will be along soon.

What stretches have you done ? I found this page (the picture) has a good stretch routine. Just remember to hydrate yourself enough, and keep stretching to after the workout. Opening everything up with "moving stretches" before an activity is good, but keep the lengthly stretches for post work out.

Right now it's my knees that are bothering me. But I think thats because they've had so long of this weight bearing down on them.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, now I know I'm normal... so I guess it's like everything else when working out, work through the soreness instead of taking a bunch of time off...
I've done piriformis, hip flexor, quad, hamstring, calf, and inner thigh stretches, holding for 30-45 seconds each, at the beginning and end of each leg workout

That might be part of the problem. Stretching cold muscles so strenuously can easily lead to injury. I'm a registered massage therapist and have seen a good number of athletes who have been told by coaches to stretch thoroughly before an after. You need to warm the muscles up. Have a good walk or moving stretch for about 5 minutes before and then stretch as you are, after the workout.

Most evidence shows that stretching before not only doesn't help, but often leads to making things worse. At least do a warm up run and then stop and stretch once you are heated up.

That being said, keep doing exercises for hip flexors and it will get better. But it is a common problem among runners. My buddy who has run in over 20 marathons still deals with hip flexor pain when he does long runs.
