i had no idea where to put this but i'm looking for info on good sports bras. the workout video im doing you jump around a lot and its hard to do when you dont have enough support lol

what are some good names or websites for sports bras?

I get the basic hanes sports bras at walmart or target because the expensive fancy ones never fit me right, or they've got shaping/underwire that digs in. When I'm doing something with a lot of jumping around, I just wear two and it works like a charm

Whatever you do, buy one that has a front closure instead of the cheap ones that you just slide over your head. The latter is prone to deodorant stains when it lodges in your pits while you're trying to pull it down.

This is the only sports bra for me. I am a 38DD so I need some serious support while running and can't stand the ones that squish your boobs together to just make them sweaty!

There are a few options out there for a GOOD sports bra. They are PRICEY, but worth it.

I have big girls, that are old and long and floppy!

The best favor you can do yourself, if you are large breasted, is to do some serious real life and online shopping and find a bra that is comfy and supportive! This will require, lots of trying on and ordering and returning! I know, it sucks, but finding a great bra, is so worth it in the end!

I just found a great underwire, front hook, racer back bra at Kohls.com. It's a Vanity Fair!

Looks cute in front, supportive, has a wide back, and wide, soft comfy straps! I don't even feel like I"m wearing it! And it comes in several colors!

Does not pinch, bind, ride up, down, slip, slide, dig in a leave grooves in my shoulders, and so on. I work out in this bra, I work in it, live in it, I love it! I have 2, waiting for the next online sale, gonna order a couple more in other colors.

If you are wearing the proper size bra, it runs true to size.

You don't have to have a sports bra to workout in, you just need a good, supportive, comfy one that serves the purpose you've purchased it for, what ever that may be.

For thinkfit, if you need to wear 2 from Wal Mart, I would really suggest you explore some other options. WM sports bras bite. Cheap, you get what you pay for. And wear 2? I have purchased a couple from WM. I still have them, I wear them on weekends at home, while my good ones are in the wash. Since I am large breasted, WM's sports bras, waller my girls around until I have one big ole cyclops boob in the middle of my chest, that's just wearing one! If I put on 2, I'd have some strange mountain peak in the middle of my chest. I'm glad it works for you, it's just not for all of us. It actually tickles me to think how I would look.

And for the record, those pull over bra's are the spawn of the devil, not to bad to put on, but, I'm sure it would be easier to get out of a straight jacket when you want to get it off!

They actually layer really nicely! You can't even tell there's two if you line 'em up haha. I don't necessarily need both, I just like the compression if I'm doing a lot of high impact stuff. It's actually really comfy! But then again, I'm only a C cup at best.

We all do what works for us!

My point is that a sports bra, is not always what it is cracked up to be, and it is worth exploring other options. You do not have to wear a "sports bra" to work out in.

In the end, we all have to find the option that works best for us!

I absolutely love my Moving Comfort sports bras. I cannot say enough good things about them! I am larger chested, I've been nursing and/or pregnant for the past 5 years straight (uh huh, you read that right) so my chest needs a lot of... support.

I had never heard of the brand until 1.5 years ago when my sister introduced me to the brand. I actually asked her if she had had a breast reduction, there was a noticeable difference. She lit up when I asked her that, lol, and told me all about these fabulous sports bras. She's a 32DD, and she used to wear two bras all.the.time.

I've tried them on in-store, then ordered off of eBay. Much cheaper that way.

When you exercise your breasts move in all directions, basically doing figure-8s over and over again. Most sports bras are designed to limit vertical movement which is not enough. Not having the proper support can be painful and may eventually damage the Cooper's ligaments - the anatomy thingy that makes breasts cute and perky.

I wear this one from Shock Absorber and this one from Panache.

You want a sports bra that provides both compression AND encapsulation. And you'll get better support and fit with one that is sized like a bra (36D) rather than by letter (M).

I tend to wear a Shock Absorber one or one I got from Marks&Spencers (I'm in the UK) when I'm doing my high impact stuff - i.e. rugby or running. I can also get away with wearing a quite new Nike over-the-head high-impact sports bra comfortably. But after a while they get relegated to lower-impact stuff. Like I wear old ones under my swimsuit if I'm doing aqua class - or even playing with my son in the pool (he plays rough).

I wear the Freya Active Bra. I'm a 34H and this keeps things from moving at all. I wear it running and to yoga, since it also keeps the girls out of my face when doing handstands.

Timely post. Since starting at the gym I have realized that all of my bras are just not going to cut it. I don't have big girls, but they move around way way too much. So far, I have just been wearing my regular bra (that I am pretty sure is too big now dammit) and an old cheap sports bra over that to try to keep everything contained while I work out. I will be taking a trip to additionelle this weekend to see what I can find! I don't want to have to shop online if I can help it.

wow lots of info thanks everyone, gonna have to do some shopping real soon. the bras i have are pretty and hold the girls where they should be but offer no suspension when i'm jumping around lol
