Default Fellow "Runner 5's?" (Zombies, Run! App users?)

I can't say enough about how much I enjoy their 5k training program! I just finished week 3 and will start week 4 day after tomorrow!

It is my absolute fave way to work out! I love the training so much and can't wait to do the missions game. I am holding off doing that until I finish my 8 week 5k training program...sort of as a reward for myself!

Sooo....any other "Runner 5's" running around here??

I'd love to use this a support thread for those using the Zombies, Run apps!!!

*waves* I'm a fellow runner 5

I haven't tried the C25K version just the normal zombies run app. I use a mini trampoline and jog/run on that (I'd like to try it outside when the weather gets a bit better and if I can find a safe place to go do it).
It has really helped me to move from completely sedentary to working out 3-5 times a week.

I hope to get one of the runner 5 tshirts as a mini goal reward when I lose enough weight

I didn't get the 5k one, just the epic adventure but I looove it. My friend has the 5k one. It's such a great idea.

I also just have the normal app. Oh my god! It's just one of those things I wish I'd invented myself. ;-)

I absolutely love it! I haven't been using it the past few months because I've been running on the treadmill, but I can't wait for it to get wamer so I can get outside and flee some zombies again!

You can use it on a treadmill and still do the zombie chases. You just have to set it to use the accelerometer instead of GPS

Wow that sounds like a lot of fun! I think I will try this out.

I kind of dislike taking my phone on runs though. I usually bring my iPod shuffle because I can just clip it wherever and never have to worry about it flying off or sweating on it (lol). This app definitely sounds like it's worth dusting off the ol' armband though!

This app is totally worth it! I LOVE it and want to work out just because it is so much fun.

I really want to try the regular Zombies, Run app. I have it, I just want to get through the 5k Training as I have never been a runner and hope to complete it! I start week 4 today.

If you are thinking about getting it, check it out soon. It may still be on sale half off.

For those of you doing reg ZR, how often do you do it? Do you prefer the half hour or one hour missions?

Installing as we speak! It still is half off, i'm glad you mentioned that

I'm looking forward to trying this, probably tomorrow...can't wait!

Edit: As it turns out both versions, Epic Adventure and the 5k trainer, are both on sale through the app store. The Epic adventure is currently $3.99 (from $7.99) and the 5k trainer is $1.99 (from $3.99) for anyone else who is interested.

Woohoo! Today is rainy and my backyard looks like a swamp! But I laced up my sneaks and headed out anyway! Fifty minute workout today and am feeling great!

How did y'all do?

RavenWolf - I do the 30 minute workout. It is a little bit short for me, but I've tried changing the settings to one hour and then it was too long. ;-) So I try to manipulate it by adding more longer tracks to my playlist, and then I just keep running to Radio Abel until I'm exhausted.

I run 2 or three times a week. I used to run more often but now I've added other kinds of exercise too.

Wow...this is pretty cool. I just started Week 6 of my C25K this morning. I love Zombies so I'm going to have to check this out.

It does sound pretty cool. I started week 5 of my C25K today... and have been pretty impressed with that so far. On the zombie app, do they chase you???

There are zombie chases in the normal app (or you can switch them off if you don't like being chased), but I don't know about the 5K plan!

First run today! I am in the same "30 min is too short, 60 min is too long" boat, so I did a bit of running to Radio Abel as well.
